Wait, which one is fake news? Wasn't the truth that you'll have to eat the peanuts out of the constantly flowing poop of Biden, the Lord and saviour of our populace while additionally you have to get boostered every new cold or flu to fully cure yourself? But must keep in mind the necessity to worship china, while being vigilant that every white baby is a white supremacist, and you have to look under your bed and in closet every night for those evil Russians cuz dey everywhere, and they're tracking everything. There are Russian trolls in every forum and Russian spies in every store. Millions of them. Most often those distinctions cannot feasibly done and fact is there will always be small numbers of people who react adversely to things, what can you do.

Big fan of Stewy! Delighted to see him front running again yesterday, and just in time for Worlds as well.
Maybe even a blessing in disguise, that he’s had a bit of downtime going into the Championship?
Cheering on him either way!
Yeah while I loved it, maybe he was a bit overraced last year. This year he should be fresher for the Final if he makes it. It’s notable that only Kipsang has rivaled at him as far as racing this year. I think you could argue a few guys (Kerr, Teare, Tefera) are underraced this year.
And a different Aussie could medal in the 1500 instead

Who would have thought at the height of the EPO era, when North and East Africans were dominating, and everybody had already forgotten about Coe, Cram, and Ovett, and never mind Ryun and Elliott and Snell, and dismissed them all as being irrelevant as before the 'African invasion' (some here still do), that you would have 2 Australians and 2 Scots as top medal contenders, and with a Norwegian kid as the overwhelming favorite?
I bet if you could invent a time machine, and conducted a poll among LetsRun members in the year 2000, how like it would be, and probably only 1 in 1,000 would say yes.
Mcsweyn losing most of his season is a huge blessing, as his coach Nick Bideau always manages to completely fry his top male athletes in the lead up to a major Championships. However McSweyn will be on the up here. His only issue will be his thoughtless strategy of drilling himself from the gun every single time (as fun as it is to watch).
But, but, I though covid was fake and just like a “bad cold.” 🙄
It’s good that he’s back.
it was the booster shot
Australia’s 1500m record holder was dramatically pulled from a race in March and later diagnosed with pericarditis – inflammation around the heart – in an adverse reaction to the Covid booster shot, which his team said he administered too quickly after having the virus itself.
After the second dose of the vaccine, this (pericarditis) happened to me (decent collegiate/ post collegiate runner) as well. Now I have a pacemaker/ ICD to help my heart work after resulting severe arrhythmia. I’ve gone into ventricular tachycardia (many times) and fibrillation (twice) many times, requiring defibrillation and pacing to resume heart function. Unfortunately, these cases keep showing up in running/ endurance circles, as lots of folks have reached out, especially since the booster.
