Wrong. It's a legal confession. Burdick v. United States, 236 U.S. 79 (1915). Only a guilty person would ask for a pardon. If you want pardoning, you may as well put a sign on your back saying "I Plead Guilty Under God."
Polls tend to reflect the opinion the pollster wants reflected.
However, if abortion really is so popular than the electorates of the individual states should be kicking out pro-life candidates and voting in pro-choicers relatively quickly. Somehow I don’t think that’s going to happen.
the states are so massively gerrymandered in favor of the Rs that it's virtually impossible for Dems to control many state legislatures despite there being more Ds than Rs in a state.
WI for just one example of many. Rs have been working the long game, playing dirty and unfair to cement their minority rule in many states. And there's not much that can be done, because of gerrymandering. The GOP is a massively undemocratic and anAmerican organization.
NYT:
In Wisconsin, Democrats hold virtually every statewide office, including governor. Yet, waves of gerrymandering have left Republicans with close to a supermajority in the State Senate and Assembly. That means an abortion ban that was passed in 1849, when only white men could vote, is set to go back into force now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned.

You'll just refuse to believe the results of the elections when that happens. The fact that the anti-abortion presidential candidate lost 7 of the last 8 popular votes should tell you something.

Between this and your argument that you can't be prosecuted for following orders, you'd make one hell of a defense lawyer.

Asking for a pardon is a confession and admission of guilt.
I hope the evidence, if it exists, that Gaetz and Taylor and others asked President Trump for a pardon is cataloged and verified somewhere.
What kind of wimp asks for a pardon? If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. What kind of nation of puff-pansies have we become when even our highest level, white collar federal criminals won't take their lumps, and instead go crying in the marshmallow wilderness for pardons? Jesus Christ.
Asking for a pardon is not a legal confession. They could argue they wanted protection from future politically motivated legal entanglements.
This is preposterous. How many political prisoners have we ever had in the US? Suge Knight, Jim Bakker, Martha Stewart, Hurricane Carter, Blagojevich. maybe a dozen more? That's in a country of 360 million people. Your odds of incarceration for thought crimes are in the goddam tens of millions to 1.
Who walks around thinking "I hope I don't get wrongfully busted in a politically motivated dragnet today. I better ask the President of the US for a pardon in advance. Get my ducks lined up, just in case." Do you go around thinking that? Nobody goes around thinking that. The ONLY reason anyone asks for a pardon is if they are guilty. It's a confession of criminality.

No one gets arrested or can get arrested for asking for a pardon.

Don't get me wrong. I believe they are guilty but there is no law against asking for a pardon. Asking for a pardon certainly implies guilt, but there will never be a conviction based solely on the behavior of asking for a pardon.

The asking is NOT a crime.
Asking for a pardon is a confession to the crime for which the pardon was sought. A confession to a crime is evidence of a crime. Confessions usually must be corroborated with other evidence of the crime confessed to. Confessions are, however, compelling evidence that the confessor has committed the crime. Burdick v. United States, 236 U.S. 79 (1915). People seldom confess to crimes they did not commit.

In many states the majority of the population is against abortion which is reflected by the pro-choice politicians they elect. However, you’ll refuse to accept these elections because they don’t go your way.
The vote counting in PA, MI, and Wisc in the days following the 2020 election was almost certainly where and how the election was stolen.
Eastman will be testifying tomorrow (6/28). He sobered up after the FBI raid on his abode. He is competent mentally. He gave legal advice to a sitting President during a crisis.
Eastman has the beans. He knows The Score. I'm not saying he's a rat fink, but he's going to let people know what was going on, including who was drunk and who was sober during the events in question on that fateful day, as the shards of liberty were hanging in the balance.
As far as I can tell the favorites are Cassidy Hutchinson, cipillone, the Brit filmmaker.
the hook is that the committee wants the testimony out there before right wing money and law and violence stops the testifier. Presumably the testimony will establish intent to commit a felony and the felony itself.
She's nervous. She knows there will be retribution attempts. She saw what pro-Trump forces are capable of on January 6, 2021. Sources say she will be asking for witness protection.

Assuming the election was stolen in those states, and based on the voe counting in the days following the election it is a near statistical certainty that it was, there is no way in Hades that this guy or anyone else is going to confirm this.
And what is this Rudy G was drunk on election eve garbage?
