glad to see her rolling when it counts on her own.
glad to see it!....I like A. Ryan also but I happy to see a big win for Nicole. So many of us had counted her out!

EAT THAT KRANICKS!
and how about Mad Man's frosh daughter qualifying?! Very nice....
Here's a blurb from Dyestat
"Girls - Defending regional champion Nicole Blood NY got the better of defending national champion Aislinn Ryan NY. After one mile, Blood and Ryan led a pack of 20 girls within 9 seconds. Blood opened a gap in the hills, however, and finished looking comfortable and full of run, while Ryan appeared to labor down the stretch. Saratoga NY qualified four girls for nationals for the second straight year -- Blood and Caitlin Lane, who trained on their own, and Lindsey Ferguson and Hannah Davidson, who stayed with the US#1 team.
Boys - The Taye brothers - Sintayehu and Ayalew - who moved from Maine to a private school in Massachusetts this year, finished 1-2."
So why is the 8th spot open? I think a ghost crossed the line then. If the Dye's don't know, then it's shoddy reporting on their part.

Girls - Nichole Jones TX pulls away around the lake late in the third mile. Kate Niehaus SC and Aurora Scott VA were next to repeat as national finalists. Florida freshman Ashley Brasovan, considered a pre-race favorite, fell back in traffic early and was never in contention, finishing 17th in 17:45. All 10 qualifiers finished with lower times than last year's regional winner Jenny Barringer 17:25. Corey McGee MS finished 7th but is an eighth grader and therefore not eligible for the seeded race. She was disqualified and Brooke Upshaw TX moved up from 11th to qualify.
Boys - Michael Eaton KY hammered the field from start to finish.
