1) we believe in free speech which means we allow speech we disagree with.
2) similar I’d argue a group that is for clean sport, where a problem is athletes who didn’t dope being convicted of doping offenses, would not actively encourage people to donate to an athlete’s defense, even if they thought the athlete was guilty.
it’s pretty simple. It’s called supporting a principle. It’s like the aclu standing for speech they vehemently oppose.
That's a weaksauce argument right there. The CSC didn't pronounce on Houlihan before her hearing, in fact, they waited months before even addressing the case. They let it play out. Only now, once her appeal has been heard, and the full facts made public, have they said people should maybe not donate to her Gofundme.
Now, you're really arguing that the CSC should not express this opinion? There is literally nothing in Houlihan's case to suggest she is clean other than her own protest. As Jonathan stated: "the facts are against her." At the his point, if you're in favor of clean sport, you should be protecting the athletes that haven't been popped from unfair competition from proven dopers, which is what Houlihan is.
Anyway, at least hat point are you going to admit that you were wrong about the CSCs position and motivations? You pooped the bed, you should clean it up

4) she’s the American record holder in two events so I think almost by definition we should question every American record holder’s progression. But that doesn’t mean they are dirty.
He's not talking about being the AR holder, he's pointing to the late blooming. Which you know full well, as it's been discussed to death and pointed out as being a red flag. It's visible you're not interested in having a candid discussion about houlihan.
Bingo. Wejo claims to be for clean sports, but is upset about the CSC speaking out about clean sports. I’m sorry, what?
Wejo is pushing propaganda and we will NOT let it go unnoticed

Another point they never address is that Houlihan's 2018 progression was comparable to Mohammed Katie's, a guy that Rojo has heavily implied isn't competing fairly. What's the difference between Houlihan and Katir? I've heard them suggest something about the reputation of both Spanish and North Africa. Athletes but let's face it, America has an appalling doping record in track and field. You don't even have to think hard to list off the names, Marion Jones, Tyson Gay, Christian Coleman, Mary Slaney, etc, etc
If Houlihan was Moroccan, all of LRC would have buried her career as soon as the positive finding was announced, and they know it.
Racism and xenophobia ftw
This is exactly true. It's the late blooming for me that bothers me. It felt so sudden, even so much so that it surprised the BTC. As I said before, the original plan in 2018 5K was to pace her to sub-15 since she hadn't achieved that yet. They had to keep moving the goal post as she miraculously got better and better.
And definitely, if Houlihan was from any other country and certainly Russia or a non-white country she'd have been buried. To me with all the facts as they stand, its unfathomable to think she was doing anything other than cheating.
As a poster mentioned previously, it was probably a cocktail that got juiced with a little too much nandrolone.
There's one more thing I forgot to mention too in my last post. The lying. I want to list out all the lies and misleading statements Shelby and her team have made so far:
1. It was a trace amount (said this before, but it wasn't. But they ran away with this lie with Shalane crying about how tests were just so SENSITIVE these days! The amount found in Shelby's system would have been caught 10-20 years ago, easy.)
2. Wejo--you even admitted it was presented as an Ajee Wilson situation. That was another lie, it was never an Ajee Wilson situation--her levels were much much lower, and she was able to prove it was contaminated meat in court.
3. The burrito lie. They were not forthcoming about what burrito she ordered, and it was only later clarified after an hour long press conference that the burrito she ordered that night was carne asada. To not come out with that info during the presser is a red flag, and a lie.
4. That she and Jerry had never even heard of nandrolone. This is a lie. It just is.
5. That a four year ban was a "snap decision". They tested her A and B sample and both were positive. It wasn't a "snap decision".

Forgot to mention the final lie. In May when asked where Shelby was, her agent said she was injured.
Another defense is the question of why Would she take nandrolone in December.
The answer is maybe she had an injury flare up or wanted to put in more work and it helped her to recover
The dishonesty from Houlihan and her team from day one has been conveniently overlooked by her defenders. You can say it's understandable that she has omitted or twisted certain facts to make her case look stronger than it is, but it doesn't reflect well on her character. How do you trust someone's word when they are so willing to obfuscate and dissemble?
The one thing that seems to unite all dopers is that they all begin by straight up lying to protest their innocence. Other than Elijah Manongoi, I can't think of another case of a doper coming clean right away. It always takes time. Even now, Justin Gatlin will tell you he's innocent. Ben Johnson seems to be in a place where he will admit that he took steroids but not that he cheated (work that out for yourself).
Pushing your own propaganda.
Casual observer you seem to know a lot about this . I know nothing about designer cocktail steroids and how easy they are to use. weâd like to have someone who doesnât believe Shelby have questions for her.

This is a problem. You and Rojo and Gault claim to be journalists and yet you’re unable to objectively assess Shelby’s situation. Why? And what does this say about you? (Hint: it’s not good)

Let me think about that; then I'll email tomorrow. For starters, these were my questions in rojo's 16 questions thread, following rojo's style (who had some interesting questions too):
Houlihan:
1) Why do you insist on keeping your ABP and all your other test results secret?
BTC:
2) Why do you continue to support a banned athlete, even after the unanimous CAS ruling?
3) Why do you insist on keeping your ABP and all your other test results secret?
Schumacher/Flanagan:
4) Aren't you ashamed to so vigorously attack the anti-doping process?
5) Aren't you ashamed to so vigorously the Court of Arbitration for Sport?
6) What does it tell you that even the arbiter chosen by you ruled against Houlihan?
7) What were the nandrolone levels of your second flagged athlete?
AIU/WA/WADA/CAS:
8) What do you conclude from the overly critical comments of the coaches of the banned athlete?
9) Why were the BTC athletes tested so often?
10) Why don't you publicly reprimand USADA for giving forbidden warning calls to the American athletes?
That was before we learned about the CAS ruling - now there are better + additional questions.

But then you would have to reveal your identity.
Given your track record of countless troll posts making false accusations and spewing hate....hmmm I don't believe ya got the guts to do it.
