I agree. Matt you are getting warmer. 28:05 is equivelant to a 2:10:51. This is the potential that Matt has once he figures out the event. I also think that he smartened up and got the hell away from Team Cali. When 2:41 Jen Rhines got away (from a certain coach at Team Cali) she finally reached her potential and became an Olympian in the event.

Actually a 28:05 CAN be transformed in a 2:09 may be even 2:08 with the right preparation,pacing,hydration,...several japanese have done that.

65 degrees, high humidity, hard course, some could argue that today's 2:14 is worth 2:10:51 on a day like they had this year in chicago, 51, overcast. Great run by Downin, alot of frustration now in the rear view mirror.
Great run by Matt! He is a tough runner and I thik he could run well in Boston if he decides to. Hey where is Mort these days? I know coaching at BC, but haven't seen him in the race results in months.
I'd love to see Downin and Meb in Boston with Culpepper again.
I dont coach matt Downin, he is coaching himself.
Good Job Ming!!! Next time your in Madtown we can get some 10 cent wings with Senior at Jingles. We can even invite Zuper...don't invite Jeans though...he'll eat em' all!!! Super...you out there?
Go Badgers!!!
