Texas signed two field eventers, a few distance runners and a hurdler. Where are the sprints signees?

They are working for milesplit.
Milan Young. Graduate Transfer from LSU. 5th in NCAA 400H
I am aware of the hurdler who's on this season roster. I am referring to season 2022-2023.

They must be so mad about the University of Austin Texas thing
Honestly i was thinking the same thing. All these top talents but they have do have a dual commit in brennan thompson for football and track.
Exactly quartermiler! I don't know what's going on but the high schoolers are committing to every school but Texas. Florida, USC, Georgia, Arkansas, A&M, LSU and University of Houston are where the sprinters are committing. What's going on in Austin?

Texas not know for male sprinters since Johnny Jones way back when.

Didn't they have a guy that was 4th in the 200m this year at NCAA's and another All American in the 400H and were 6th in the 4x100 relay.

That is being known?
Didn't say they don't have sprinters they just aren't on a level with the SEC, Houston, TCU, USC.
Don't worry they'll just get a bunch of random Jamaicans in April
I am not talking about the guys who are currently on the roster. Texas fastest short sprinter is Micaiah Harris.... one of the fastest 200m guys in the NCAA. Texas also has a handful of elite 400m guys on their roster.
I am referring to the recent signings of t&f athletes both men and women. The majority of the elite high schoolers have signed elsewhere.
Why a bunch of Jamaican t&f signees in April?
I agree

Go ahead name three stud Jamaican sprinters at Texas.

Harris has a windy 20.08, legally nothing better than a 20,6ish.
Trust me other than Dean Smith in the 50's and Jones in the 70's Texas has never really done much in the men's sprints. Hell, TCU can fill 8 lanes with sub10.00 guys. Houston a flock of sprinters..
DinoZ - Do you consider 400m guys as sprinters? You've stated the 50's and 70's? Hmmm...
100m
Senoj-Jay Givans 9.96 /2019
Brendan Christian 10.11 /2004
Johnny Jones 10.14 / 1977
200m
Micaiah Harris 20.09 /2019
Tony Jones 20.28 /1987
Brendan Christian 20.29 / 2003
Senoj set the school record in the 100m in 2016
