It's my understanding that Doug & Erica Fraley left WSU partly because of their private pole vault facility in Louisiana. I'm interested to find out why Yogi Teevens left, considering that her twins were on the team. Does that mean that the twins are in the transfer portal?
I don't know who the "twins" are, but Yogi's children have moved on to EWU and Utah State.
Nobody was pulled away from WSU. All the exits were repelled from jobs they love due to an unworkable environment. They are all technically coaches who get the best out of the athletes they are given. Doug Fraley would be an excellent director as he has the organizational savvy and coaching results that would prove a great hire. I see Montana and EWU as no brainer hires here. Yogi Teevens would be very good and stable as well, if she were interested. Too bad WSU doesn't see what they have lost this year.
What on earth are these jobs? A XC Recruiting Coordinator??
A recruiting coordinator isn't some crazy title out of nowhere. A lot of programs have these. I think it's silly, as a coach you ARE the recruiting coordinator. It's basically what coaches in higher positions do so they don't have to spend as much time calling kids up.
I think what's interesting though is how they plan to run the xc and track programs basically separate.

Every staff i've been apart of that completely separates the teams kills the culture. Come track season there's always a weird power struggle or kids simply not caring about half of the team or feeling like one is better than the other
Why in the world do you need a director of ops exclusively for cross country? Cross country literally has the shortest competition schedule and a small team. Also why do you need a recruiting coordinator? Its literally one event/race. The head XC can't do that by himself, especially if they are separate from the track team.
So what happens to the XC team during indoor and outdoor track....are they competing? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
