Nebraska will have a Multi-Events job opening by the looks.
I hope he survives longer than one season, but congrats
Lol Pepin..time to retire
Now the big ? Is who takes over for Vanhoy?
didnt vanhoy not have much of a resume before landing ole miss?
I think there was a kid named Eric Jenkins from Northeastern
Holy smokes, a Vanhoy rumor was actually true for once
Patrick Cunniff to Ole Miss?
Doubt it. Why hire an older unmotivated coach who just got let go from an SEC school for not getting it done. It would be the exact opposite of vanhoy.
At Washington State all that is left is the Director and throws coach.
This year 4 assistants have left the program.
Jobs galore.
Wayne Phipps must be one of the worse her coaches at a power 5 school
Several of their better kids just hit the portal too. Trash program needs to be wiped clean.
He is riding out his contract... An Asst AD extended his contract several years back for some crazy reason. newer AD won’t buy him out, so waiting til it runs out soon.
I can name more teams worse than WSU. Arizona, Arizona State, CAL, UCLA just from the Pac12 alone. Dont get me started with EWU, Idaho, Montana. Phipps has done a great job it's hard to compete with the Oregon's, Colorados, and UW. But he makes it happens, he's had multiple all-Americans the past 5 years ranging from throws, sprints, hurdles, and distance. What else do you want?
Has Doug Fraley, their jumps coach left? I know that Erica left in the middle of winter semester to go back to Louisiana and look after their pole vault facility. And didn't Phipps just hire some gal from Cincinnati to take over CharLee Linton when she went to Utah?
I'm sort of surprised at Vanhoy. Mississippi is decent and in a great conference. I don't know much about Cal Poly. Good program?
Wsu used to be a power house in track and field. They would struggle in the Big west Conf as a team.
Quality of life. XC power house. Build up 10 years then get director job in pac 12 or sec. Pay is probably 100k

EWU, Idaho, Montana?? What are you going to say? You’re comparing them to a Pac-12 school??
