University of New Orleans Vice President for Athletics & Recreation Tim Duncan announced Brock Moreaux as the next head coach of men's and women's cross country,
It seems there are more positions than normal that have not been filled this cycle. Are we finally reaching a point as a profession that people are simply less inclined to work for such low wages despite our passion/enthusiasm for the sport?
Nebraska Head Track and Field Coach Gary Pepin, the leader of the Husker program for 42 years, announced his retirement on Thursday, bringing to a close one of the
He's been hired as an assistant by Avery... the distance coach. It's Avery's staff.
This new distance coach may have a volunteer assistant or I suppose if they don't have 6 paid coaches on staff, he could split some of his salary with another distance coach who might be in charge on the women's side.
This will be interesting. I’d suggest Brosnan retains Ackley but with a focus on jumps. Get rid of Allen and bring in Colorado coach Brockman (spelling?) for sprints and hurdles.
Dump Denard and go all in with Mo at Cal. Cal’s main points at pac 12 and NCAA came from Mo so this is not only a huge addition but reduces Cal’s ability to score (same With Brochman essentially)
Maybe keep the volunteers and then let those twlhree sort out the assistants. Can’t wait for the next few weeks to see how the carousel continues!!!

Other than that he's not hiring staff.
For clarification I meant hired by Avery as the distance coach. I forgot the word 'as'.
You haven't provided any proof that Taylor was "screaming" or whatever you made up. It's your job to prove false claims to be true. You can't just make false claims and blame everyone else for not doing research for you. Now THAT'S lazy.
I'm probably going to report your posts for spreading false claims about a coach on this thread.
I have no dog in the hunt. I have only commented on your ranting. You realize this is a message board and that if you see anything here, you would need to verify it yourself if you seek the absolute truth. Try something other than the "Joe Rogan" method of understanding. Or, more to the point, lack of understanding.
I think you thought you said something smart here. Joe Rogan is more likely to make false claims with only half the information so I'd argue what you're doing is "Joe Rogan."

Nope. Plenty of people want to be college coaches as proven by this thread. Some schools just have a high asking price of lots of experience and low wages, so they can’t ever find their right person.

Sorry, I thought he was the one in charge.... I guess he is just an assistant hahaha. Sorry people for the confusion on this.
Coach Fife is gone. Plus the pole vault coach and strength coach. Petros is cleaning house in Champaign.
Will anyone be retained or is Petros truly cleaning house? And will any athletes be lost in this shuffle? How does the transfer portal look for the Illini?
Well, Haveman is under contract until 2023 so maybe he has to keep her. It's pretty late in the summer for any of the athletes to transfer. It'll be interesting to see what happens during this year. Coach Fife ran all of the workouts, so not sure who'll step in there. That program has no team culture, it's a mess. So, a full scale house cleaning is probably in order.

So if Fife was the "training brains" of the distance staff, what did Haveman do? Or did Haveman write the workouts, and Fife just timed them? It's hard to get a feel for the splitting of duties, Fife's bio says he coached the teams to Nationals in Cross and got the athletes to nationals?!?! Who gets the actual credit, or blame if "there is no team culture."
