For those that watched too, did they hurry her to a bin after she finished? Looked like she was going to puke. If so, awesome. Finally see someone strained and spent after a WR

Correct. Jan showing why his athletes suck at the marathon.
You just keep on writing your crap! Just because I prove it`s absolutely no problem to run a top half TWO weeks before a marathon doesn`t mean I have my marathoners to do that!
You proved what?
You proved nothing.
Wakiihuri ran 1:01:40 in Stockholm. Kandie would have had to run 58 in Valencia. You are also being stupid by not considering the depth of the field Kandie will have to face in NYC.
Tell me how many athletes have run a half marathon world record followed by a phenomenal marathon two weeks later.

Did she drop all the dudes that were running with her early on?

Yes, she was broke after finishing. Amazing really, she never lost form and her race was like stone throughout the race. Inside, she must have been in turmoil because she almost puked immediately after finishing, then actually did a few seconds later
*her face was like stone

Could have been very smart to run a new WR at Valencia Half and then two weeks( not one! ) to recover proper and win even NY ?
Do you think you know more about marathon training than Renato?
Well..... It`s a question that have to be divided into partial responses.
1) He has a very long career ( over 50 years) as a coach and mostly famous for his great coaching of marathoners and many international medalists, so of course he knows alot about marathon training.
2) How has the level of talent been of the majority of marathoners he started to coach ? Most of the runners very talented......
3) When it comes to effective marathon training on relatively low mileage there appear to be some gaps in knowledge.

Your arrogance knows no limits.
You are unable to admit that Renato knows more about marathon training than you do.
Can please this JS character be banned from the forum? Every thread details into his disillusion. Its such a shame where some guy from sweden gets to take the spotlight after Renato Canova.

You are being stupid by not considering Wakiihuri became World Champ , a field that was the best in that era, and only one week after a fast half win . What you forget is that everything is relatively. The 1:01:40 Wakiihuri ran made him as tired as Kandie will be after his max around 57:30 , and then Kandie would get one extra week compared to Wakiihuri to recover proper.

Why ban a guy who only tells truths and gives answers to speech?
We need more guys like him at the boards!
Stand your back, JS !
Don't fold away!
Me and a few others I know about admire you.
Not sure who her coach is but she spends a lot of time in the Netherlands where she has a base and then her main training base appears to be Saint Moritz in Switzerland. Sponsored by ASICS. She’s a fine looking lady. She is also followed by Bart Van Nunnen, a top Dutch marathon runner.

In this link it is mentioned that her base is in Arnhem, Netherlands, but she continues to be affiliated with a Swedish club which you can see mentioned in the link towards the end of the link article.
Two years ago her best half marathon was just under 1:10:00 so she’s really improved in the last two years. Thank you ASICS super shoes among other things like good training and nutrition and inspirational training partners. Will she attain Coach JS’s prediction for half marathon runners to double their time and add five minutes which would give her a new Swedish record of 221?
Double plus 5 minutes is incorrect anyway. It has long been proven to be more like double plus 7 to 8 minutes.

So now it was one week before the World Championships?
You lie so much you get confused.
The point being, you suck as a marathon coach.
Results are what matter. You suck.

I explain one more time for your pea brain to take it in . Wakiihuri became marathon World Champ only ONE week after his top fast half marathon win. If Kandie had run in Valencia half top race he would have TWO weeks to recover for NY marathon, ONE MORE week to recover than Wakiihuri. Hope your pea brain kept up with that logic ? ;)

It`s not! In fact there are of course outliers like Yuki Kawauchi 2x 1:02:18 + 5 min = 2:09:36 , and his best is 2:07 :27 , and we get only 2 x 1:02:18 + 2: 51 min !! = 2:07:27.

Read carefully, micro brain: you don't know what you are talking about. You give ONE unusual result from 1987 and try to make the exception work as a rule.
I repeat, you suck as a marathon coach.

OK peabrain, let's wait for Kandie to run a 2:00:04 marathon.
And where was Tergat's 2:03?
Even better, where is your athlete Sammy Nyokaye's 2:09? He has run 1:02:13, so according to your idiot logic he should have a 2:09:26 marathon time but he has run 2:14, 2:14, 2:18 and 2:19.
I know the answer. It's because he has an incompetent coach - you!
Hard to say who's smoother, Gidey, Decker Slaney or El G.....
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
