What a tough year for the guy. Is anyone aware of a GoFundMe or similar that we could contribute to?

best thing to do is to buy their training programs, any surface any distance, also if you are at boulder you could offer Sage and Coach Sandy a place to stay

I can not believe that a Pro athlete for nearly a decade does not own a home. That is the saddest part of this story.
Everyone always says how successful his YouTube channel is and how lucrative his sponsorship deals are and he still lives in an apartment?
This is horrible as I thought he was a success story.
You're an ass. He and his partner owned the apartment, and seem to make a fine living as runners/coaches. That being said, do you know how expensive houses are in Boulder? If you don't have a trust fund or don't work in finance/start ups/tech, you can't buy a house there. Owning/not owning a home in Boulder (or anywhere, really) is not a barometer of "success".
Well in the other hand you got this less successful runner/youtube Seth Demoor with his own house and younger than Sage....
It was a condo that they owned.
Oh my gosh, this is horrible news. I cannot think of a couple who has had a more difficult year, between Sage's pulmonary embolism and Sandi losing her young sister to cancer. To add on top of that losing their home in a fire? Horrible. No one deserves this level of loss and suffering.
My mind immediately jumped to consideration of what they're potentially lost. If this fire did in fact engulf their home fully, it's possible they've lost quite a bit of expensive gear, including cameras and other filming equipment, gear from sponsors, fitness equipment such as bikes and turbos, etc.
Hopefully Sage and/or Sandi will provide an update as to the extent of damage and losses. I'd really like to see us rally together as a running community to provide some sort of support, too. I know that's a lot to ask from LRC, but I have some confidence it's possible through his social media base. Home/renter's insurance doesn't always cover everything...hopefully they had it, though.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
