Vaporfly for all, unless it involves trail then I'd go with something like the adios or boston.
It could be fun to use the alphafly for a half. They are extremely bouncy, but the stack height is noticable and they are a lot more unstable than the vaporfly.
Vaporfly all day every day
If the consensus is the Vaporfly, what's the Alphafly's purpose? I thought Vaporfly for 1/2s and Alphaflys for the full. No?
Vaporfly for races, for me.
After running training runs in a pair of Tempo Next% (which are basically Alphaflys with different foam rubber) for awhile, I'm not motivated to move up to Alphaflys. Instead, I just ordered a pair of Vaporfly Next% 2's, to replace my old ones.
PS: Shorter races (5K to 1/2 marathon) still Vaporfly Next%.
Yes, definitely the vaporfly. If its too pricey and you don't like it try the Mach 4(Hoka) I work in run specialty and it never disappoints. Good Luck!
10 miles, half, full: Vaporfly
Shorter than that: Endorphin Pro 2
I find the vaporfly to be lacking in the forefoot and not very responsive at faster speeds. The Endo pro has that speed roll that I can feel and it's stiffer. It may be placebo but I feel faster in those in 5Ks and even 10Ks

The old Boston 6 through 8 version 1 were my favorite shoes for tempo runs, intervals, and races. They don't have much stack height which is why you may have listed them but Boston 8 version 2 with distressed stripes and Boston 9 replaced Boost foam in the forefoot with Lightstrike. Some runners prefer prior version with Boost from forefoot to heal. The Boston 10 has no Boost foam. It uses two different versions of LightStrike foam and weighs about 2 ounces more so I think few were wore the prior versions would still consider it to be a good shoe for faster runs and for races. I switched to Saucony Endorphin Pro for the Boston Marathon and was very happy with it. I had several issues physically during the race but not once did I have any foot or shoes issues. I never even thought about the shoes until after the race when I realized my fee did not hurt during or after the race.

What is the most stupid running advice you've ever heard?🤣(It can be funny)
Are Asics, Saucony, and New Balance envious of Brooks, Hoka ,and On?
