Who ya got?
Who ya got?
Elaine Thompson - 3 golds - 100, 200, 4x100 relay
2nd (tie) Sydney - Rojas - Warholm - all set WRs
Some others...
Kipchoge - legendary dominating performance
Crouser - best series of throws ever
Hassan - first since first Zatopek to medal in 3 distance events
Crouser?
Call me crazy but my athlete of the meet is Cole Hocker. Showed he’s ready to step up and mix it up at the top level. Almost everyone else performed as expected or below what they’re capable of.
Sifan Hassan obviously. Absolutely cemented her status as the best of all time.

That's the performance that might have got most people here excited, but that's only because this is an American distance running forum. Objectively, Cole Hocker was not the outstanding athlete of Tokyo.
Without a doubt Hassan.
2nd = Warholm/McLaughlin for their WRs
3rd = Herah triple gold with fast times
4th= Mu/Jakob for their dominating performances with fast times
4th = Kipchoge/Crouser for their utter domination of the field

Hassan! We’ve seen dominant performances and world records, but we’ve not not seen anything close to Hassan’s ambition, bravery and accomplishment. She appeared close to death after the 10K.
After Hassan it was a blur of greatness.
Warholm, Syd, Crouser, Duplantis, Thompson-Herah, Mu, Kipchoge were all amazing.
But none of them were better than Hassan.
Warholm.
Hassan for a new kind of dominance.
The track was fast. I'm not too excited about times.
There's a good argument to be made for Ryan Crouser. That was easily the greatest shot put series ever.
Two throws on the all-time top ten list, bringing his total to seven. Two more within a mm or two of it.
He had almost as many 75' throws in this series as every other athlete in history combined.
And the worst throw of the series was better than his gold medal winning throw in 2016.
Aside from breaking his own world record, there isn't much more you could ask from an athlete.
Famke Bol
Hassan
Sifan Hasaan without a doubt. I can't believe how much what she accomplished is being downplayed on this site!!!
Among runners:
1. Sifan Hassan
2. Elaine Thompson-Herah
3. Karsten Warholm
4. Sydney McLaughlin
5. Eliud Kipchoge
6. Jakob Ingebrigtsen
7. Athing Mu
8. Faith Kipyegon
9. Joshua Cheptegei
10. Shaunae Miller-Uibo
HM: Rai Benjamin
Lamont Marcell Jacobs. Goes Tarim complete unknown to everybody wanting a piece of him and the British media trying to dig for dirt. They even sent paparazzi to his recently reconciled dad’s house.
Kiesenhofer!
Single most amazing performance of the games.
Richie Petitbon
Aliphine. She’s a mother. She’s so brave and strong to even show up. Absolutely inspiring.
