Purrier just cut somebody off
Purrier just cut somebody off
What. A. Savage.
super impressive, but she has a 5k final in less than 12 hours? and im sure that will take a toll

If it doesn't take a toll, will further substantiate her being doped to the gills...
Siffan MF Hassan
hopefully Hassan doesn't form an injury from the fall. That was a hard landing on the hip and racing/aggravating a bruised hip can quickly form a problem
Lol Hassan could've petitioned and would've moved onto the 2nd round anyway but that was hysterical winning after falling down. Her and Kipyegon are on a whole different level than the rest.

Just give Hassan the gold now
Faith Kipyegon may have something to say about that.
Attempted sabotage against Hassan!!
Just kidding. Prelims are the worst to lay back in because you're dealing with runners who have no clue ala Jim Ryun.
im wondering if she thinks she can win gold in all three or if she figured she can easily medal in all three and winning the 1500 against kipyegon and the 10k vs gidet were coin flips on a good day anyway.
TO THE GILLS
Actually, I'm pretty impressed by her triple attempt but I could see the 10000m being the casualty.
i mean even fresh she is arguable not the favorite in the 1500 or 10k. maybe she is like pogacar and has those super recovery genetics and performs better this way.

Boy, NBC is going to keep milking that whole Purrier grew up on a dairy farm thing, eh?
See what I did there?
Here comes Hassan!!!!
You can bank on 2 things with the NBC coverage
1- the dairy farm thing
2 - Alyson Felix's daughter gets more air time than 99% of US athletes
I think she's screwed. If not badly bruised, that had to take a lot out of her. Stressful as hell for one thing. And about how much time did she lose by going down? 4 or 5 seconds? So she had to run a 3:59 equivalent while Muir went 4:04 ish. Not to mention she's got a 5K later today.
McGee is in, but looked weak.
Somebody stepped on that fallen hip number and it stuck to her spike. I wonder who it was?
Why did the Moroccan quit with 200m to go?
didn't hassan run that 3:51 a few days after the 10k record? I think she'll be ok.
Arafi nearly caused a pileup by just stopping on the track instead of stepping off. She eventually started drifting towards lane 2. Very odd.

I'm sure she was hoping for a "jog it in for 5th-6th and just get through" type of race here as a warm up for tonight.
I do wonder how the 5k will go now.
