Didn't watch, but saw the results. Top 4 within 1 second. I realize the 2 guy's ahead of him are really good, but just surprised to see. I know he's having fun, but he can't be too happy with his last 2 races post-trials.

Nice try.
He actually won the race by two seconds.
I was there.
Then the results are wrong? Road miles are different but I guess more surprised Ciattei beat Engels and a 3:33 shape Alexander. No Pacers changes things as well https://www.athlinks.com/event/147382/results/Event/977168/Course/2089194/Results
You were obviously not there.
Anyway - Good point on the other poster. Alexander just ran 3:33, right?
I guess these road miles come down to the kick and if you are talking about a few 3:32-3:34 guy's, it can be anyone's race.
Seems likely that he’s just there for the pay day. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

Might be worst post ever. What pay day? If you win that race, you get $5K. 3rd place get's you $2K. So, he was just there to lose out on $3K? Maybe Fleet Feet paid him to show up, but I doubt that.
Also, Engels had the fastest time this season of an American. Best world ranking of a US guy. He was the 2019 US Champ. If it was you, would you just be partying for a pay day? He doesn't want to lose...no one would in his position. Be real.
a four year old girl ran a 6:07 mile?

Uhhhhh he showed up and got two grand vs not showing up and getting no money. In no world is that “losing 3k”. Pull your head out of your ass
Right right. Except he's better than the two guys that beat him. Oh, and don't for one second act like he didn't enter that race already thinking he had the $5K locked up.
How about this...you get your head out of your ass?

Haha I love how angry and unhappy almost everyone that frequents this site is. Hobby joggers all bitter bc they love running but are very slow? Idk.
He isn't better than the guys who beat him. That is rude to say. He finished 3rd. He isn't better than the 3 guys who beat him at the trials.
Sinclaire Johnson, Osika, Eccleston, Buchalski and others.

I agree. On that day, two guys were better! At the Trials, 3 guys were better!
Engels has a better resume, yes. But, in Alexander’s case, he may actually have more flat-out talent. Whatever Colby does, it’s always after being hurt for a long time and back for a short time. He’s never had a healthy season in his entire career, including college. He runs low mileage and is unsponsored. Despite that, he’s still has a pretty darn good career. If he had the health and durability of guys like Engels, he’d be a household name.
