She looked smooth from my perspective at the first hurdle but yeah did seem low… but i don’t think you can extrapolate her barrier jump to her waterjump

Sam Parsons agrees. Is he saying what many runners on the circuit are thinking?

Who is Sam Parsons? Sounds jealous and salty. Keep talking trash lil man, superior athletes will actually be in Tokyo.

Sometimes you just need to trust in the Lord’s plan.
Just like we all know the Lord plans for Trump to regain the presidency next month, we must also assume it’s His plan to keep Emma from breaking 9min.
I've read a lot of stupid things on LRC. Unless this is tongue-in-cheek, this is about the stupidest.
The difference between Emma's race today and Leah's race at the Trials was that Emma was going for time and not place and Leah was going for place and not time. It makes sense that Emma would have taken the risk of chasing Kiyeng in the hopes of breaking 9:00, instead of going just for the win and finishing in 9:03ish. I think the reaction on here to Leah's race was way too harsh and mean, but it's true that it would have been better odds for her if she let 1-2 go and stayed fighting for 3rd place.

"Honestly" taking the clear gold-medal favorite (Centro) over a teenager is not that bold a statement, mate.
Centro gold medal favourite - what are you on????
Don’t be dumb.
Centro beat kiprop, makhloufi, soulieman, willis, kwemoi in Rio. These guys all pretty much had better pbs, if that’s your criteria. One of them had a 3:26 pb!
They run rounds, so it’s almost a certainty no 3:30 1500’s will be run at the finals and tactics will be key.

Yep, a real yawner. Nodded off there a few times. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but yes, you should have got that doggy paddle in.
Between age 22-24, Parsons improved 9 seconds in the 1500 and 31 seconds in the 5,000. The problem - he started as a mediocre talent unlike Kadir. No idea if he’s clean, do know Parsons is an also-ran.
Katir is not that much of a surprise. He’s been brought up in Spain, been living in Murcia, and Sierra Nevada (national altitude training centre) for the last few years. He has never been training in the mountains in some remote location in Morrocco that is inaccessible to testers.
People say he’s gone from 3:36 to 3:28 in a year, but tbf, had last season been a normal one, he may have gone 3:31-3:32…

I think just about everyone acknowledges if Tim is in the race everything changes. I can't recall him ever using a sit and kick tactic and why should he? If he strings out the field he is almost guaranteed a medal, if not gold.
If would make no sense for him to leave the outcome to a kick where everyone in the field has a chance. Kiprop was fast but unpredictable. His tactics were inconsistent and often just self-destructive. Tim is nothing if not consistent.
After viewing the replays:
) WA must have green-lighted doping to save itself from 1 1/2 olympics cancellations.
) Katir is too out of nowhere to believe. PR's at 3:33 earlier a few weeks ago and then grabs another 5 seconds?
) w1500 can't be much cleaner but I enjoyed seeing Sifan Hassan get stuffed by Kipyegon
) Nijel Amos is the GOAT 800 runner. He was running 1:41 9 years ago! If he's really only 26 or 27, he's not done yet.
) How did Chanelle Price go straight to pacemaking after winning an NCAA title? Never see her competing at 800.
) men's steeple is done. Nobody cares about it enough to become great at it or even scare a sub 8 anymore.
) Muir showed why she shouldn't ditch the 800, she's closer to the top there than against those 3:51 ladies.
Will Jakob EVER beat Tim C?

what on earth are you talking about dude
you couldn't possibly be confusing her with Athing Mu or even Raevyn Rogers.. so we really have no idea what you're talking about

Is it the cheater shoes she's been wearing this year?
Also, which Nike's was Jemma Reekie wearing? They were not cheaters and not Dragonfly's.

This makes sense.
On the other hand, he was only 7th at the Spanish championships last year, in 3:46.22. And he was only 4th in the Memorial José Antonio Cansino, in 3:36. The winner, Ignacio Fontes, ran 3:33. Fontes is six months younger than Katir.
As you say, 2020 was a strange year, but it sure didn't look like he was about to join Jakob.

Ok. Does that race prove that being boxed doesn't matter at all. Muir went sideways and still won it.
Jesus. No. It just suggests that Muir is probably in 1:56low shape and had enough energy remaining to overcome her poor position.
Also if those in front of you are tying up so badly they're almost walking.
Last two meetings between #1 Siderova and Nageotte have been won by Nageotte. Right now a solid favorite.

YOU have no idea, I'm sure everyone else has heard of her and her multiple D1 titles and podiums.
Now go fix your personality flaws or nobody will ever like you

A few small corrections:
1) Price never won an NCAA title. She was in the finals in 2010/11/12, and finished 4/3/3.
2) Price ran plenty of 800s after turning pro in 2012. She even won the 2014 Indoor Worlds. You probably don't remember her because, like her Tennessee team mate, Phoebe Wright, Price wasn't in the top tier -- she never made a national team, never won a DL race, and didn't run under 1:59 until this year.
3) Price's first first big time pace-making job was in 2015, when she set the up Dibaba's WR in Monaco. Before that, Phoebe Wright was the go to pace-setter for DL 1500s.
Price told her side of the WR story here:

Anyone have the scoop on Reekie's shoes?

Wrong. She was on two winning DMR's.
That's all I read of your post, you handed it to me on the first line. Try not to be such a geek.
