I want to make my own shoes but I have no idea how. Does anyone have any info on how to go about construcing a decent pair of runners?

I tried to cut my own hair once but it didn't work out too well.
try using a waffle iron to shape the soles. you'll have to think of a really simple and distinctive logo for your shoes as well.
Seems simple enough -- but where do you get rubber for the soles? And how do you heat it up enough that you can work with it?
I don't know which is more disturbing, the fact that you dredged up this old thread, or the fact that you are considering something this stupid.
One person into the minimalist trend ran last year's Wharf to Wharf in 'shoes' made of two pairs of socks, cardboard, and duct tape. He had few complaints and finished in the top 100.

Rubber tree and a toaster over.
Go cut up some old tires and strap them to your feet like those indians in Mexico do.
You want to make your upper flat to begin with, then you attach it to the sole and it takes the typical curved shape. It is easier to work/design this way. I once had a book called, "How things are Made" (the book had a denim cover) and it had a chapter on running shoes, you might look for that.
one day you will have to:

I gave my wife a boob job at home. I saved thousands and I even installed a beer tap near her ass.
No, but I make my own CDs of Sara Babe images.
Yeah, I made racing flats once. Using foam for the soles, cool material for the upper, and a bike tube stretched out as the outsole. 4.1 oz.
I chopped down a couple of local forests to make these, however, they are still at the prototype phase.
