Colleen is the most media savvy of the group, maybe all of them were cheating and once Shelby got caught, Colleen conveniently jumped ship to avoid suspicion. Nice move indeed.

It’s funny the tale of two sides. When it was ajee Wilson everyone was saying she was guilty and now that it’s this girl everyone is saying she’s innocent and are standing by her side. Why can’t it be the same for both sides
Ajee at least presented a reasonable doubt that she was doping, proving that her banned substance was, in fact, in meat and also having an extremely low value. Shelby has not proven that her substance was in meat, and, in fact, her positive test value was 250% of the limit and approximately 700% of normal values.
The nandrolone was made in a lab. It was never a bat. or a pig. offal. whatever.
This is BS. Colleen leaving had everything to do with not being treated “like the queen that she is.” End of story.

You raise some interesting points 🤔
none of these points are interesting.
-She wasn't getting enough money from Nike
-The training program obviously never worked for her
-He's hurt
-Altitude is hard and not everybody responds to it, and they ran better after more time at sea level
-She hadn't raced a steeple in.. two years??
-That one, I do not understand, but have no idea what it could have to do with Shelby
This is the correct summation.
Others are haters.
These athletes train hard and push their bodies to the edge of peak/injury.
I support and cheer BTC and it’s athletes. The talent, sacrifice, drive and pursuit of being the best they can be is exemplary.

Shelby is DIRTY. We all eat pork and tacos all the time..........also are her and centro done?
Foolish comment.
You don’t get tested 10 hours after eating a meal.

No one is credibly siding with Shelby. Nobody. It’s the same for both sides.
Four year ban hammer- first offense.
The real loss here— Shelby being the first domino as BTC withdraws from the Trials in droves— is being felt by fans of meaningless time trials, like ol’ Bart Maxwell, orchestrated by a cadre of filthy narcissists whose fanbase is comprised of veritable r3tards who ‘sperged against NOP because winning medals and setting WORLD records without pissing hot was bad for the sport…
Another hater response.
There won’t be any “dominos”.
Time trials were great for the athletes and fans during a pandemic to provide some normalcy to a challenging year.
I support BTC 100%.

- Colleen left.
- Kate left.
- Jager pulls out of the trials.
- Several athletes leave altitude to go back to Portland.
- Courtney sandbags a couple of steeple races to mediocre times (albeit wins).
- Marielle runs poorly.
It's all a conspiracy!
1) Colleen couldn't handle not being the best and not getting all the attention.
2) Kate never really improved and often performed poorly at BTC.
3) Jager has been injured before. Steeple is tough on the body. He knows he isn't fit to win or even qualify this year.
4) Have you tried altitude training? it's tough. very easy to over do it and wreck your season. They likely want to play it safe.
5) Surprise surprise! even pro athletes have bad performances after taking a year off from real competition.
6) Marielle always runs poorly relative to other BTC members. but diversity right?
DOWN WITH BTC!!!!!!!!!!!
Quigley been working on NEW sponsors for a year..

I personally believe number 1 to be true to the max!!!!! Basically, anyone like Colleen has HUGE insecurity problems. Never enough, has to ALWAYS be in the limelight. Truly sad how arrogant and insecure people can be. I know some VERY decent runners who will be in the trials and several who ran February 29th, 2020. ALL of them are super nice without a hint of arrogance. Sad she has to be so into herself.

exactly.
OP, this speculative thread needs to come down. it's so off base.
Number of athletes on BTC to test positive - 1
Number of athletes on NOP to test positive - 0
It's funny because people were trying to paint Colleen as the bad guy(and still desperately are) but all along it wasn't her, but the convicted doper. I actually believe this positive test from the end of last year might have something to do with it. We'll see, time will tell. I'm not gonna listen to anyone on letsrun that's for sure. I'll wait until more news comes out.

Colleen is the bad guy. The truth will prevail.
She may be behind deliberately spiking Shelby’s food or beverages to get this outcome too.

You raise some interesting points 🤔
Not that interesting really,
Colleen has been well documented that it is a contract dispute and the contract she signed with Lululemon is a no-brainer.
Kate Grace was not running all that great with the program and wanted to try something new, not the first time she's moved teams after not running so great.
Jager has basically been injured for 2 years straight maybe longer save a couple brief stints and indoor races. Is it that shocking that he pulled out of the trials?
The altitude athletes pulled out of altitude because they ran a terrible couple of races and clearly weren't handling the workload as well. Not that surprising since a good chunk were either young, adapting to the program, or old athletes near the end of their careers. The younger athletes may have been quick responders to heavy training but it's showing that in their youth they have some deficiencies with strength and handling the workload at altitude as well as sea level. Marielle Hall has had a great career and she is either hurt or nearing the end of the career.
Frerichs one both of her steeples after not racing a steeple for over two years, not that crazy to see her being a little more tedious in her first couple of races back with the trials coming up.
Come on guys use your heads.
I will be curiously following how Schweizer, Cranny, Infeld, and Frerichs do in these trials. There has to be extra scrutiny on them now with their ardent support of Shelby. Were/are they doping too? They should all make the team, but I'll be curious to see if they perform up to what we all think their ability is. Problem is, is that their true ability?
Any comment from Sifan Hassan?

Doubtless. I am certain, too, that Colleen had a hand in Abe Lincoln’s assassination.
