No. He will be the Bob Kennedy of Norway. Fastest white man of his era but, no global medals.

FYI-Bob Kennedy never easily won a loaded DL race. World has just changed. You just need to accept it.
If it were possible to bet every penny I owned on him medaling in Tokyo, I would do it.
Yes
Ever? Seriously, you are asking this question? Of course he will. May or may not in Tokyo but he certainly will sometime.
Of course it's a very difficult thing to do, but if you're betting on anyone who has never won a world championships or olympic medal to do it, he would be the distance runner to bet on. He was 4th as a fresh 19 year old, while going for broke on the last lap. Since then he has run a huge 1500 PR of 3:28.6 before his 20th birthday, and now another 5000 PR of 12:48 at ate 20 years 9 months. He keeps trending up, and was already 4th in the world a couple years ago. He will likely win multiple medals, probably one this summer. Not many guys in the world can run under 12:50 and not many of those guys can also run under 3:30 for 1500... So in a championship race he is definitely a medal favorite for the 5,000 meters.
No doubt he will!
A more difficult question to answer is if he will win gold or not. But medal, absolutely!
yes,i think he will.Although the east africans may see him as a threat, and control the races, watch him like a hawk, and prevent him from medalling.
For these 2021 Olympics on 1500 yes :
Medal : 85% chances
Gold : 50% chances (last summer Cheruiyot was better in any way : he ran faster from the get go, and had faster finish. But I think Jakob made progress since then, so..).
What a silly question! If you really saw his race yesterday you understand he will dominate middle (1500,mile/ longdistance the next 10-15 years!!

Do you know Ethiopia is 112 millions of people out there
and it's not only the single family of Ingebrigtsen that is moving
and enter planet is moving.
Definitely not getting a medal in the 5000 this Games (not running the 5000).
Although I see Katir & Gressier likely getting two!

How will they do that? If they try to force a slow pace, they'll get outkicked and a fast pace won't drop him.

+1 to all of that.
I don't know if he will win gold but he is only 20 with times of 3:28, 7:27, and 12:48. The chances of him never medaling are quite low.
theyll do it by shadowing him,and trying to box him in

I doubt it will work, he's tall strong and bold, he won't let that happen easily.

Jakob didn't easily win the race. He was down 2 seconds at 3000m, made his way back and got a great hard fought win.
Yes,
He's got a lot of opportunities ahead of him. I would easily put money on him to medal at some point at even odds. I think he has a better than 1/3 chance of medaling this summer.
