I have struggled with supination for as long as I can remember. The outsides of my shoes get worn out faster, but also the balls of my feet strike really hard and cause struggles there as well. However - the biggest problem is the way my foot hits my shoes.
I'll try my best to explain - but it's mostly my right foot - and while I tend to walk on the outside of my foot, the interior (left side of the heel on my right foot) always pushes against the inside of my shoe, and it makes it extremely uncomfortable.
I've been to a Fleet Feet here in town, had my walk analyzed, had the pressure mat thing done, and they tried to put me in a stability shoe. However, that really put a lot of stress on the bottom of my feet.
I went back, and they put me in a neutral shoe - a Brooks Glycerin, and while the cushioning is WONDERFUL, the heel problem is more prevalent than ever. The previous shoes, a New Balance in a stability shoe, didn't have the heel issue as bad, but was very uncomfortable on my foot.
It's almost as if my heel likes to slide around, but even in a narrow shoe, it does this. It's so aggravating because it's so hard to explain. I'd love to know if anyone else has struggled with this.
