They sold Prickly Bars for a cool 12 million smackaroos. Lauren's husband was also a co-founder, so I assume each will get $4 million in cash and stock. cha-CHING!!

Surely more than either earned from pro contracts in their lifetime
Has anyone with so much hype ever been paid so little?
$12 million is actually pretty cheap. Good for them, though!
That's it. That's the tweet. wrote:

I'm sure you know their distribution network, operating expenses and last year's revenue. What do you think the brand was worth?
What's the tax hit here?
She will pay more in taxes in a single year than most LRC posters have grossed in their entire life.
I predict this thread will have some mad posters.
Get ready!
Fascinating. As an avid follower of the Quigley soap opera, I read that she has been promoting Laird Superfood. Is Quigley doing a sponsorship deal where she could get stock as part of her compensation, ala George Foreman Grills?
I think it's Picky, not Pricky.
A Pricky Bar would be a male strip club. ATJ

Oh man !! A woman, a woman who talks a lot, a woman who has unsolicited opinions, a woman who sort of has a job and that sort of job is better than any trailer-dwelling inbred Deliverance ankle biting LRCer can ever dream about. The tinhat crowd here will have aneurisms.

Laird Superfood
There has to be a better Superfood name than something so closely resembling Lard.
Lard is a superfood.
Cool. I'm going to make Lard Bars the next big thing. Shooting for $15 million in my sale to Laird Superfoods. It'll come in 2 flavors: Bacon and Maple Bacon.

1) A company sells for $12 millikon and you assume each of the co-founders still owns 100% of it? That's not normally h ow it works.
2) Did Prickly Bars have investors? Normally outside investors own more than 50% of the company. Was Prickly Bars entirely self-funded?
3) What type of sales did Prickly Bars even have? Was it even profitable? I'm stunned they got 12 million but then again this how these things work. A company with cash will buy a brand that is basically a break even company as they know they can build it out, selling the fake myth it's some mom and pop shop of two struggling female runners when in reality it's owned by VC vultures.

Congratulations, you invented the Cliff Bar.
Also, Congratulations to Cliff Bar for inventing the Power Bar.
Not to mention, Congratulations to Power Bar for inventing the candy bar.
Fleshman is a pretty good marketer though, so she earned her money. Shame that she has the taint of faking asthma to get PEDs, but we can't all be perfect.
Actually the guy that made Cliff Bar did so because he couldn't stand the idea of eating one more horrible tasting Power Bar.

Looking forward to all the executive business insights from people who have seen a couple of episodes of Shark Tank and now know everything.

Well, his name has to be in it bc narcissism.
I liked Picky Bars but found them overpriced. Performance wise they weren’t a game changer for me either.
Good for them.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
