When I don’t feel like jogging or driving to the track, I often go do my intervals on a marked 400m trail about a mile away from my neighborhood.
The interesting thing about this trail is that it’s 100m of about 3.5% decline, then a flat 200m and about 100m of 3.5% incline.
Today I did 6x400m averaging 59.5 with solid rest (waited until HR fell under 120 to start next rep) This was a very hard effort for me. Severe lactic booty lock on that hill portion every rep after rep 2.
Reading Jamins thread about hilly vs flat courses, it makes me wonder.
Was this workout worth more, less or equal to 59.5s on a track?
