Hold on! I am very confused. Did the deeply corrupt DOJ doing the bidding of the always evil Merrick Garland essentially let him off of the hook for lack of evidence? Then why did Gaetz ask the ex-President to pardon him? Innocents have no use for pardons.
Can a conservative help me to understand this?
Ha..Ha...eat crow dude...
If someone is trying to put you in jail, whether you're innocent or not, a pardon is helpful. Was that so difficult?
So you trust the federal DOJ now? Good to know!
Dry your tears little boy...tomorrow is another day.
...and only guilty people plead the 5th. It all depends on that shifting wind.
Can we get a source other than ZeroHedge? Good lord people, you are all so biased.
To receive a pardon you have to admit guilt. So even before the trial, Gaetz was assuming he would be convicted.

The investigation into Gaetz was opened in 2020 under Trump's DOJ. Garland had yet to take office so obviously he didn't order it.

I’m not sure they’re jumping off of buildings. If there isn’t enough credible evidence, there isn’t enough credible evidence. It is what it is.
Gaetz, meanwhile, will remain a dbag, and you, meanwhile, will continue to have your man crush on him.
These are all facts:
-Matt Gaetz's best friend plead guilty to child sex trafficking, among many other crimes.
-Matt Gaetz repeatedly inquired about Trump granting him a blanket pardon.
-The story in question relies entirely on anonymous sources and makes it clear that no decision has been made yet.
I wouldn't be celebrating just yet, Trumpers.
Gaetz's friend Greenburg has already been sentenced. DOJ was hoping to delay Greenburg's sentencing, to keep some pressure on Greenburg to testify re Gaetz. But prosecutors in the Greenburg case did not want to delay. Maybe more will come out regarding that decision.

Source? I mean real source as well, I called out the ZeroHedge source earlier and noted how everyone was so biased and I stand by that, let's see what you can come up with on this one that has any basis in reality and true reporting.

Was she 12 when he was 30?
This is your hero....
In 1915, the Supreme Court wrote in Burdick v. United States that a pardon “carries an imputation of guilt; acceptance a confession of it.” Over the years, many have come to see a necessary relationship between a pardon and guilt. Ford carried the Burdick quote in his wallet, defending the Nixon pardon by noting that it established Nixon’s guilt. More recently, MSNBC host Ari Melber taunted Arpaio by saying he had admitted he was guilty when he accepted Trump’s pardon. But Burdick was about a different issue: the ability to turn down a pardon. The language about imputing and confessing guilt was just an aside — what lawyers call dicta. The court meant that, as a practical matter, because pardons make people look guilty, a recipient might not want to accept one. But pardons have no formal, legal effect of declaring guilt.
Indeed, in rare cases pardons are used to exonerate people. This was Trump’s rationale for posthumously pardoning boxer Jack Johnson, the victim of a racially based railroading in 1913. Ford pardoned Iva Toguri d’Aquino (World War II’s “Tokyo Rose”) after “60 Minutes” revealed that she was an innocent victim of prosecutors who suborned perjured testimony in her treason case. President George H.W. Bush pardoned Caspar Weinberger because he thought the former defense secretary, indicted in the Iran-contra affair, was a victim of “the criminalization of policy differences.” If the president pardons you because he thinks you are innocent, what guilt could accepting that pardon possibly admit?
Hope that clears things up for you.
I take it that sp2 is in the nut house, considering he disappeared from all posting. But, if not, this should do the trick…
