Strava is highly overrated and anyone's loyalty to their brand tells me more about them than anything.

Strava is just a social media for runners and a subpar running log
Why is it a subpar running log? I use it more or less only as a log (without the social media aspects), and it works fine for me, certainly better than anything else I've tried.
Same here, its pretty decent. Just wish it wasn't quite so social media'ery, though that's the fault of the users not Strava. Fkkkking tools logging golfing days and 1 mile walks etc, shame i can't block activity types from my feed.
Maybe it’s not just HR, but it really seems that including a long easy period with a really hard workout downgrades the workout so that you don’t get credit for the hard part of the workout. It’s like the hard parts of the workout get watered down and forgotten in the averaged out metrics. It seems particularly noticeable with cycling.
Said differently, I think I would get more credit for option b than option a.
A) Easy ride to mountain, ride mountain hard, easy ride home. Record as one workout
B) same ride, but record as three separate activities.
Strava was never an example to me because I saw it as flawed. If we're talking about good fitness, then for me, there's a role model that's really worth a try.
If you are looking for a really effective workout, then you will find my advice quite interesting. I found one curious resource that told me all the body functions that does fitness and sports in general.
I think that this resource will be a valuable guide for you in the fitness world as well.

Garmin's VO2 Max is pretty stupid.
I actually tested my VO2 at UM over the summer and hit 80.1mL/kg yet Garmin says 74.
Just take these "toys" with a grain of salt.
Go to your university and do the real thing.
Honestly, I have realized that my fitness results have started to improve since I've purchased a smart body scale. I have realized how important it is to determine your body weight every morning. This can give you a good sense of what to train more and what edibles to avoid. Personally, I am really thinking of taking my fitness training to a new level, and I'm sure that with this scale and with my determination, I will be able to perform that. So guys, if some of you are training hard at the gym but doesn't see any result, I will advise you to purchase a new body scale.
Please explain what this means.
Maybe Carlos Lopes was the developer. jk lol :)
