Hyperice - brought to you by Steeple Squigs! Good for her.
Weird though she isn’t racing today and doesn’t win anything. So many more talented people they could choose from.
Not strange. Remember Anna Kournikova? Whether it is right or not, the girls with the looks are going to get the commercials.
Looks like lululemon judging by that latest Instagram post. But is it an actual sponsorship? Or just their ambassador program? I have a lot of questions...
Intrigued that in all of her posts of her running in the last few months, she’s been wearing Nikes. Will this stop when she signs with another brand? Seems like she is giving Nike a lot of PR if she goes to the trials with a different kit and Nike shoes which I feel like is just promoting the opposite of what she would want for leaving.
Or maybe she just doesn’t care and wants to be paid more by another company while telling Nikes because she knows they’re probably the best right now.
Anyone have an update? She is supposed to announce it in a newsletter today & I don’t subscribe to the newsletter
No newsletter yet but I'm sure as soon as it gets sent out someone will post it within a minute or two.
It is indeed lululemon. And she’s definitely calling it a sponsorship. Seems like she’s setting herself up for a career as a lifestyle and fitness influencer. There’s a citius mag podcast interview with her announcing the deal.
Just read the post on her website announcing the lululemon deal. At the end of the post, there's a great big Nike swoosh. She needs to fire her web guy

Or she still has some kind of contractual obligation to Nike. If you noticed in those commercials during the televised meet she didn’t run in, they had a shot just on her shoes. I obviously don’t know but am guessing that was a condition of her Nike contract that if she does other commercials, you have to see the swoosh.
I can’t listen to the podcast right now but her notes on the citius mag website say she’s making 3 times what Nike offered. Am I misreading that? Seems like a lot considering lululemon doesn’t make shoes & she could potentially get a shoe sponsor on top of the apparel.

Sounds like it's correct. From the Lap Count, Kyle Merber's newsletter:
"According to Colleen on the Citius podcast, her contract with lululemon is 3x that of Nike’s final offer and features the same bonus structure with no reductions. Doing all those give away contests and #fastbraidFriday posts has now paid off in a tangible way."
get paid baby
Lol she is ready for the influencer & model life before she even finished her running career. Time will tell whether this was a wise choice.

Right, there are decent odds she goes all all Antoine Walker with that Lululemon money.
You f*cking moran.
Well good for her - I honestly had my doubts when she left Nike but it sounds like she is making bank. I'm really interested to see how she does at trials though, she may pull off an outstanding performance and it will be another F U to Nike lol
Not a fan of CQ but good for her if she is making 3x what Nike paid. Athletes rely too much on the shoe companies for sponsors so maybe others will follow her path.
Since she has signed a new deal and we like one thread per topic, we are closing this thread to no posts. Please move all posts here:
