Insurrection, yes, but not a very organized or widespread one. They were like a dog chasing a deer. If they caught the deer they'd have no idea what to do.
It was not a coo. There was not force in the US government trying to overthrow the government despite the messaging that has come out of it. There was no real threat to the country.
Yes, insurrection by definition and by simple fact of the matter. Short-lived and poorly organized, but an insurrection nonetheless.
Yes, it was an attempted coup. Your understanding of "coup" is incomplete. There is no requirement for a force within a government to be involved, in order for it to be a coup. If you and I gather a dozen non-gov't buddies, grab some AR-15's, manage to storm the White House, kill the President, VP, cabinet, and install some other leaders, that is a coup. Any faction can attempt to overthrow a government, all or in part, and it is a coup.
This was a failed attempt at a coup, by definition and by simple fact of the matter.
Whether or not this insurrection or its attempted coup was "good" or "bad" is a separate conversation.
As I said in a previous post, it is a straightforward truth that this was an insurrection, and an attempted coup. Any debate on that particular matter is, again, rubbish.
