NOT the same thing. You said Brady smartly walked into a good situation, which implies HE benefitted from a good situation that was in place there in Tampa. I submit that the GOOD in this situation was Brady, and that Tampa benefitted by getting him, not the other way around.
Well then you are incorrect. Brady did benefit from a very talented team he was on. Otherwise why did he not win a SB last year with the Patriots? Tommy picked a better situation and improved it. Please educate yourself.
Meh. You don't win every time. BRADY improved the situation in Tampa Bay. They don't win the Super Bowl without him.
People need to stop thinking Brady got lucky or fortunate or that he had the perfect system, etc. He's the best. All teams try to devise a scheme that is best for the players they have. The QB is the General of the offense and the face of the team. He's the best there ever was.
The Patriots had a winning season every year from 2001-2019, sandwiched between losing seasons in 2000 and 2020. What was different about 2000 and 2020? Brady didn't start a single game for them.
He leaves New England, and they suck. He goes to 7-9 Tampa Bay, and they win the Super Bowl.
Not good fortune. Not luck. Leadership. Talent. Serious skill as a quarterback. He's the best ever, BY FAR...and this coming from an Ohio State Buckeye fan.
There is no debating this point. Other than Randy Moss, Brady never had a super star receiver. He turned good receivers into great ones.
Can be debate about the second best -- Montana, Peyton Manning, Brees, Unitas? Good debates to be had about them and some others even.
No. 1 though? Nah. No debate. Tom Brady is the best quarterback in NFL history.
