I hear everyone talking about employment as the number one reason to pick a destination as to where they reside. I make more more money tending to the locals as a small business owner than i ever made in corporate merica. They dish out cash like its going out of fashion. God bless Seattle and mostly mercer island.
Doing what?
It's not unusual. Many people tend to buy a lot of services because they feel that they don't have time for anything other than their jobs or think that they are above such toil. They buy restaurant food, dry cleaning. laundry services, house cleaning, car detailing, tutoring for their kids, personal care, shopping services, etc. Many immigrants start their own simple businesses that cater to these notions. In places like Seattle, the immigrants are raking it in from mostly middle income white peeps that are "too busy" to do their own chores, don't know how to cook, or need to flaunt that they pay people to do such things for them.
I admire people that see owning a small shop, food cart, or service provider as a noble means of making a loving. Long term, they will be better off than the "smart" wage slaves that spend their lives daydreaming that some "Billion Dollar Idea" will pop into their heads at any moment while doing nothing to actually make success happen.
