You’re bringing down the average.
Correction: It WAS the saddest, not IS the saddest. The survey was from last month.
Of course they are sad. They are looking for a Utopia that doesn't exist. Until they find it, they will be sad.
Only until you leave
You misspoke.
You meant to say potheads, not leftists.
Leftists care about people and culture.
Potheads care only about 4:20 and are depressed every other second.
Why? Pot is a depressant.
Portland is probably not far behind
Seattle, like Portland, is run 100% by Progressive Democrats and has been for decades. Like LA or San Fran, people are moving out daily because of crime, poverty, high taxes and all of the other things that come along with 100% one party DEMOCRAT control.
I moved out of Seattle to Idaho and it was the best move ever. No COVID restrictions at all. Everything is open. People are free to do what they like. Taxes are low. No crime. No drug addicts sleeping on our streets. No 1619 Project being taught to anyone. No Critical Race theory being implemented. No CHOP Zones. No gender neutral bathrooms for the weak and confused. We have lots of Charter Schools and gun ranges and American Flags. So most liberals would hate it but lots of people are moving here.
Seattle is dying:
Places like Seattle is what happens when large % of the population grow up without strong role models, mainly fathers, that teach discipline and responsibility.
You live with gray cloudy skies, and drizzly rain & wind for 9.5 months out of the year and tell me if you're happy! lol
I grew up here and it is disgusting. My favorite park run used to be idyllic, now it's a hobo colony where I run by ranting schizophrenics and young women servicing men three times their age in the bushes for their next fix.
And yet every track in the city is immaculate, since they are locked off to the community. A few days ago I hopped the fence (have done this may times over the years with no hassle, the maintenance guys said they were fenced to keep bikes and dogs off) and some fat teacher's union teatsucker screamed at me like I was stabbing his dog. He threatened to call the cops and I responded that I'll just break some windows, steal some sh*t and spray paint BLM and they won't touch me lol.

Fixed it back.
Best thing to happen to Seattle would be to become another Atlantis

That gave me a chuckle. Another zombie drinking the kool-aid...
Maybe so.
And the Kool-Aid is delicious.
And rebels are not heroes either.
Interesting to see this. I live in Seattle and prior to moving here 6.5 years ago, didn’t really care or think at all about Seattle. It’s so isolated from rest of the country geographically that I really never thought too much about it. But since moving here, I love it. I love the urban feel when in downtown. I love that it’s close to so much natural beauty. It does drizzle a lot but I think it makes the air clean for most of the year except when fire smoke rolls over here for about 1-3 weeks out of the year. But in terms of natural disasters, it’s pretty safe here with no hurricanes, tornadoes, or bad snowstorms. There is a very small chance that Mt Rainier could erupt during your lifetime or a big earthquake.
But, I would only move here with a great job lined up. Or, if you’re willing to sacrifice to break into high paying tech jobs. I’m probably overpaid for what I do at a tech company, but what I do brings in a lot of business so I guess it’s fine. It’s just that I don’t do much more than I did with other companies but get paid a lot more now.
There are positives and negatives here, but I rather get paid well during my prime working years than to live in a red state where some claim to have more “freedom” but I’d probably be bored to death. Working and getting paid quarter of what i make where id be stuck in the rat wheel and having to work until normal retiring age and my retirement nest egg will be much smaller.
It’s expensive to live here, but you get paid a lot more if you find a good job. And it’s not hard to find ways to live cheap. Just takes discipline like we live in a small house that I purchased 5 years ago. So my monthly mortgage will be constant and with a small house, we can’t buy too much junk and rest goes to our investment account.
It’s not difficult to live fairly frugal here but most people get stuck in the lifestyle inflation. You can get paid well here so people tend to spend more and things are expensive. Eating out here can be expensive. People spend around $10 per lunch here but I bring my lunch when I went into the office. People go to Starbucks or coffee house like two times per day. I just drink tea now and they’re cheap at home or free at work. People drive to the office and would cost approximately $300 per month if you consider parking garage pass, gas, etc. I just take the bus. Last thing is to buy a house that you can comfortably afford. I bought 5 years ago so it was more affordable then but it’s still possible today. You just have to live somewhere little farther or sacrifice on space.
