My wife was leaving the pizza place the other night and ran into one of our neighbors. He was astonished that our family of four could get by on just one large pizza (he had 3). Each of us gets 2 slices of pizza, a salad/vegetable, and dessert. Maybe a little draconian, but not so much so that we need 2 pizzas to get by.
When I stopped to consider the cummulative physical size of our respective clans (which are evenly matched by number--4--and age), I realized that they outweigh us by 250-300 lbs. Besides being more expensive to eat out, those extra pounds must impact a lot of other variables, including gas mileage.
