That's the way we did it when I was training but only topped out at 1:23. May the winds be in your favor.

You're going to do irreparable damage to your lungs if you try running in this smoke.
I predict he falls 5-6 seconds short.

I’m doubtful you can go 1:30.
He may be an ass, but Jamin is like king hobbyjogger fast, so I while I don’t think a 1:22 is possible, I could see 1:23-1:24
Maybe get Bekele to pace jamin
He sits/stands in front of a computer 8 hours a day so is losing strength and flexibility at a fast rate without even knowing it.
My prediction is he'll run 1:28 or so and not report it or lie about the time or that he ran the race at all.
I would bet any amount of money that he doesn’t crack 1:25. I was a dev for 10 years and it destroyed my ability to run fast.
Quit that - became a personal trainer and now own my own company, make more money, having much more fun and running fast again.
maybe not if you are good at racing it. do you think jamin has a background that would make him particularly suited to run anything near a perfect 600 meters, especially in a time trial?

122 is a tough time. are you in 51 second 400 shape right now? 1:53 for the 800?
You don’t need to be in 1:53 shape to run 1:22.
50 400 1:54 800
1:20 600 is possible. Although I did slow considerably the last 100 it was about 15 seconds. 20 years later I ran a 1:27.

i have timed about a million 600s, and it always seems to be something close to a 1.5 to 2 second slow down on every lap. something like 25, 27, 29. fastest times also seem to come with guys running first 400 around 2 to 3 seconds off their 400 times.
What was your time?

Will probably rig it by starting at the end that'll give me a tailwind for 2/3 of the straights
I really doubt you are capable of that with the crap training you are doing for the moment.
Prove me wrong! :) Think you need a downhill straight road to do that time.... ))
Ahahahaha! Jamin of course never intend to do it. Just try to find things to get attention.
As a distance runner I could see why you would think this, but anyone who doesn't do sprints won't be able to appreciate how much the extra 200 meters is to a 400 guy. Most 400 guys run their first 250-300 balls to the wall and then just hang on the for the last 100, and are absolutely rigged the last 50 meters. They have to because they don't have the endurance to run evenly - that's what made WVN so special, because he could run fast the last 100m while everybody else was dying.
To put this in perspective, on my college team the 400 guys all had to run at least one 500 every indoor season as a workout - at best, the 47.x guys would run 65 (52 400m pace) on a good day. So that extra distance really matters, a lot.

Well........this was a month ago. What happened? Did you ever run the time trial?
Fauci cancelled his time trial.
He doesn’t have a good point. If I had a sub 47 400m guy run 82 low in the 600m I’d think “wow, he’s really bad at the 600”, not “I should put him on modified xc training”.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
