Jakob was added to the 1500 with Kejelcha and McSewyn. 5 looks like a straight fast TT for Barega. It’s a shame Tim Cheruiyot and Rongai aren’t in the meet!

That being said I'm not sure I see him as anymore special then Gebremeskel or any other Ethiopian whose run a few quick times on the circuit and doesn't really have any other accomplishments.
As someone's else said, Gebremeskel won an Oympic Silver medal, and a bronze at the World Championships. That's a pretty hefty accomplishment. As for "a few quick times", Gebremeskel prolly ran the fastest 5000m in the world in something like 15 years or more.
What time is 20pm? Apparently he's against time literally.
Kiplimo is in the race. Can be interesting.
How do u know who is doping and who is not?

Now that would be juicy. Unlike Cheptegei, he's getting the weather right. It certainly wouldn't shock me. God, that woudl be great for the sport if he got it.
What would be great for the sport is if they raced each other. Magically, Cheptegei improves by 22 seconds at 5000m. But is he the best 5000m runner in the world? Probably, but he has not shown it irrefutably in a race. In a time trial he has shown that he is the new record holder. But a race would be good for the sport.
Athletics has forgotten about racing. Elites are afraid to face eachother.

And the young Spaniard, Oumaiz.

Barega must be doped out of his mind right now.
No he's not a US runner.

8:00 pm
24-hr clock
12:00 + 8:00 = 20:00
According to my calculations Kipchoge's 12:46 in 2004 was 8 years earlier. Bekele's 12:40 in the same track was 7 years earlier.
Bekele's former record was also ran in 2004 (?) so your numbers are way off.
It was a crazy fast race nonetheless with a bunch of guys under 12:50/13:00.
8 Easter time? Where is the complete schedule? Is it streamed on youtube?

Streamed on world athletics youtube page
It's official guys
Girma and Kiplimo will act as pacemakers! Barega requested world record pace!!
Weather is great, it's on!
Nice try Barega!
Could Crippa be under 13:00 tonight?
On the entry list, the pacers are supposed to be Girma, Foppen, Saleh and Sykora.
Are you sure for Kiplimo?
Yes, confirmed at the technical meet this morning.

Ahh, my bad. Was Kiplimo an actual rabbit? If so, I cannot remember the last time a race longer than 800 was won by a pacemaker (although Kiplimo clearly shirked his duty in the early stages)
Barega's first km was way too fast yesterday. He did it in 2;29:72 and could not keep it. He has no more pacer very quickly and did km 2 and 3 in 2:35 (7:41 for the 3,000m).
Kiplimo starts the race slower with km in 2;35 and catched Barega in km 4. Last round was still in 57 seconds.
We already knew it but Kiplimo is a huge, huge talent. He has maybe more potential than Cheptegei. It will though to beat Uganda in the next few years on the track.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
