Two issues come up when Im fasting (usually do a around 6 hour eating window). 1) If I do longer runs or have a double run day, I find I’m extremely hungry towards the evening even after I’ve eaten enough adequate calories for the amount I’ve workouted for the day. As a result I’ll tend to overeat too much late in the evening. 2). Irritability from hunger pangs towards the end of a fast. Sometimes I’m able to overcome them if I wait a bit, other times it becomes overwhelming and Ill have to eat something small like a piece of fruit before eating breakfast.
I workout in the mornings and sometimes double in the afternoon. I notice that if those runs are particular moderate or harder efforts, then my hunger and appetite will go way up.
