If you hooked him up to a light bulb it would glow extremely bright.
It sure is amazing what you can achieve on performance enhancing drugs.
Lance was a doping machine - nothing like we've ever seen in cycling and probably something we'll never see again.
I've oftened wondered; what exactly is Lance on? Lol.
Man, I like Lance but could this interviewer dig deeper into his ass... So much ego stroking and ball licking... We all know EPO was a wonder drug in the 90s and 00s in cycling, and other endurance sports...
he himself would glow even brighter than the bulb

And Jamin's all too eager to get in line as the next jock-sniffer. We've been more or less rid of this scumbag (LA) for 5-10 years; it's been great. But recently he's been scuttling out of the shadows and trying to claim the limelight again, and sycophantic idiots like Jamin are lapping it up.
why do we give this cheating scumbag air time? why are we impressed with how he cheated and his cheating results?

Not true. 425 at (doped) threshold
https://www.ridemedia.com.au/features/lance-vs-cadel-a-study-of-two-22-year-olds/EPO's a hell of a drug...
The same reason why we give all of the other cheaters the time of day--it is incredible to see things that do not seem humanly possible. Spare me with the holier than thou "I care about clean sport" BS and have some respect for Lance. His feats inspired a generation of people to exercise and compete, which is something that none of us will ever accomplish. If you think that Lance was net negative for the world then you should think more deeply.

Ask the Andreus or the Irish therapist how they feel about that statement. Do you think it’s ok to destroy 8-10 lives in order to “inspire” people to exercise?
Oh look, Lance raising awareness of Lance.
Lance Armstrong also said he was clean. The rule is don't believe Lance Armstrong.
495w/75kg as he reportedly weighed is 6.6--a very reasonable threshold for a grand tour winner, and a repeat one during the 2000s at that. Many pros around now are above 6, and possibly clean. They joked that at some points when they'd gone overboard on drugs or blood he was above 7, but that may have been due to his weight dropping to around 71. A larger runner with a fast 10k time (e.g. Solinsky) would be in the same ballpark if trained for cycling. There are also 100kg weekend warriors who can actually do 500w for 20-30 min, so it's not some metabolic impossibility.

Absolutely not. Ridiculous to even suggest that, especially for “weekend warriors.” That would put them at 5w/kg for 20-30 minutes. Someone who is 100kg/220lbs is absolutely not climbing hills next to someone who is 70kg/154lbs and doing 350 watts.

people saying stuff like this completely ignores the fact that lance only trained for the tour de france. If you eliminate a huge part of the racing schedule to train and recover in optimal conditions with PED support, you put yourself leauges ahead of anyone else riding in the tour. According to sources he never super-boosted his hemacrit with EPO, but did continually top himself up on red blood cells every night during the tour.
I wouldn't say he's a doping machine. He was very focused with the best team, equipment, and medical advice (ferrari) money could buy.
75k/165lbs seems pretty porky for a 1.78m/5'10" GC guy
Jamin, do you ride and use a power meter?
