The only time I can get a decent workout on public tracks is early in the morning. Other than that, it's always been like a circus show. Cross fitters taking up lanes 1 through 4 walking side by side, people just abruptly stopping in lane 1 or stepping into lane one just as I'm passing through. It's been awhile since I've seen a parent bring their kid to learn how to ride a bike on the track. The only reason I prefer the track is the surface, but the turns and the craziness have me thinking it's probably better to switch to workouts on trails.
