What kind of spiders are there? House spiders? I can't stand them. When they run they are literally Bekele. I would also move to Boulder but the spiders would be my biggest concern.

I think Boulder County could go to Trump this year. I saw a Trump sign near Eldorado Canyon.
No chance. Why not go to a Trump city/state like Arkansas? Oh, wait, there is no opportunity there.

Brown recluse and black widow are the primary poisonous spiders. Black widow spiders are common, probably in every basement or crawl space. Then there are wolf spiders (which are really big but harmless) and many other types.

Very livable place. Seems good for a lonely dude. You feel less lonely in an outdoorsy town. Only downside is a lot of spiders.
Do your homework before making the move. It is very crowded, lots of traffic during the pre-Covid days. You need to get out of town to find a decent place to run. Pan-handlers everywhere. It is very expensive to live there. Not only housing prices are high but prices are higher there on everything. I live about 30 miles from Boulder. We call Boulder 25 square miles surrounded by reality. Fort Collins seems to be the up and coming place.
How many Boulder hating threads do we need?
Hope you have lots of $$$ because housing is very expensive. In addition the far left tree hugging liberals can get on your nerves. Best of luck to you.
Nah, Ft. Collins is over-run, expensive, high traffic, sprawl now, too. Poorer trail system though they do have Seimers Dreamers!
Co Springs is probably the better scene right now. Good trail system and access to higher altitude routes (Bowerman TC shows up routinely for altitude stints), lower cost housing, good economy, beautiful scenery, career-minded women, plenty of good runners to train with yet none aspire to "influencer" as a job description.
Fort Collins jumped the shark with growth in the mid-90s and it's difficult just driving across town. It has its charms and strengths though.
The OP would be better off in the Springs or Highlands Ranch (latter is the Orange County of Colorado). Greeley as a back up. Would not be happy in Boulder.
What's wrong with just the Denver metro area? If you are looking for altitude training, anywhere in Colorado is fine. If you are looking for the dirt roads, there are other more inexpensive places to live and get that. If money is not an issue, Boulder is great. Denver has the cherry creek trail (concrete but long and well marked), the high canal (south side of the city is all dirt and well marked), Wash Park has the 2.5 mile dirt trail, a 2.25 mile inner road, and two tracks right there (lots of good runners use Wash park road for larger volume workouts or the track. It's also not far from Waterton Canyon Trail, Roxborough, and even Boulder isn't far.

Does Jamin need liberals around to be happy? Or, is he a closeted liberal?
Can’t imagine why someone who complains so much about liberal policies would live in either of those places.
We will dislike you in Boulder like they disliked you in Seattle, jamin.

I like Fort Collins but agree on C-Springs. It is great down there and I don't think they get the sustained wintertime winds like we have in NoCo

Let me guess- you live in one of the crappy redneck surrounding areas like Brighton or Berthoud/Loveland?
Boulder runner here -- this is not true. Pretty much any where you live you're within 1-2 miles of either open space trails (south and central) or rolling dirt roads (north). If you don't need dirt, there's paved multi-use paths literally everywhere.

Nope
It's true that there are many attractive women there. As the old saying goes, a Colorado 5 is a Washington 8.

What's all this about spiders? Why would there be more spiders in Boulder than anyplace else? Is it some kind of spider paradise?
