haha man they had been waiting with those replies.
What about 2x3mi stepping stone? Something more progressive and less structured. 1 moderate, 1 easy tempo, 1 MP ish. Or whatever 3 gears you think would be good. Get a feel for the calf over different paces.
I like it. Thanks!

No problemo! Hope it goes well. We are getting a weather break next two days, hopefully better for you too.
5 x 18 is a classic thread.
I’d probably just do a flyer...progress the 12 and finish hard in the last 2 or 3. Have fun.

I didn't mean two medals but the medal with a cluster, which means 2, I believe. Or maybe I am misremembering, but I think that's right.
I think it’s a cluster for the Army and a Star for Marines.
This is correct.
Also rucker that is awesome!! Where are you stationed?
I think you're on to something about meticulous/technically minded people being drawn to running...

one of the greatest troll threads in LRC history!
I'd go with the 3x2. It's easier than the 2x3 and also breaks down more nicely.
3 mile warm up
2 @ M pace
.5 mile float
2 @ M pace
.5
2 @ M
2 down
Done

Seems like a pretty nice way to structure the run. Have to put in 13 tomorrow morning to get to 70, and if the track is busy, might just do something like this.

I am based out of the Northern Virginia area. I think it's funny, you join the Army to see the world and see new things, and my duty station is less than an hour from where I lived from birth until college. Go figure!
