I heard the same alert a few minutes ago. And that;s sayin's something because i heard it over the really loud Live Ramones i;m listening to on my headphones.
It was weird.
Hey, i wondered about all the same things.... I looked it up on some really good site, which explained everything,. Curfew applies to everything in city limit.
In answer to your question, it basically said something to the effect that it wasn't going to be arrests unless someone was disturbing the peace or not taking orders, etc. Seemed very light handed is the point.
ALready got in a great workout in for me, so just chillin now.
Take care, brother.
Ramones!! Cool. I was listening to the Dead Kennedys. Well I'll be in seattle limits for much of my run on the Burke Gilman- although at some point my run will get into lake forest park and kenmore before I turn around. thanks for the info. Glad to know it's light handed.
Stay safe!
As for the political aspect in this thread, I'll just say that most "protestors" aren't looting and engaging in violence. They are peacefully assembling and stating their views. Not all cops are beating people either like that giles corey thread seems to suggest. I've seen some pretty touching videos of protestors and police engaging in productive dialogue.
