I studied medicine for a lot of years. I was in medical school. I worked in hospitals. I've been trying to get straightforward understanding to complex medical phenomena like disease transmission epidemiology
I now realize that even experts give out conflicting and often times inaccurate information
Because the basic point is that with a phenomena as complex as virus transmission and something as complex as the biosphere and the the behavior of large groups of people it's very tough to give simplistic answers to such complex things
Bottom line is when it is cold season how often does everyone in your family get a cold at the same time? How often times does everyone in your business or office get a cold at the same time
Just look at the way the flu usually plays out every year or any cold virus it always just circulates and a couple of people get sick at a time and so on
The fact is that even with social distancing we've seen a steady transmission of the coronavirus
The simple reason is that it hangs in the air...in houses .... in any indoor situation. Grocery stores Office Buildings public transportation the virus hangs in the air and is omnipresence
Likewise people can have viruses in their system for months and even years at low levels and be transmitting them into the air around them
This idea that it is only transmitted through respiratory droplets is a fairytale
The fact is that viruses are part of the biosphere they exist at varying levels in the air we breathe in the water we drank they're constantly being circulated
Viruses are the most plentiful genetic material on Earth and they are the driving engine of evolution
This is a great example of the theater of the Absurd and wishful thinking in relationship to the reality of virus transmission
Yes it is good that will working on drug therapies in a vaccine those can have real impact
And it's also good that we're cautious and we look before we leap. But it's also good that we really learn and investigate. Let's really get it together now. I think it's too cold
