With Salazar coaching her, this is absolutely happening.

I've heard stories of Goucher doing road loops for tempos with Salazar and thinking they were a certain distance. Then when she moved over to Jerry, they ran the same loops but her mind was blown when Jerry told her all the actual lengths.

Why are we so surprised that spoon fed Jordan Hassay is now crying like a little girl when she didn't get her way....

What result did Jordan have that warranted her entry? Her DFL at Glasgow? Her 10000m a couple months back where she lost by a minute?

She didn't win "tons" of NCAA championships, she won 1 or 2. That doesn't warrant an entry into a Diamond League 5000m.

Her 10K equates to ~ a 15:05. She probably couldn't run that right now, but she could obviously run 15:20, probably 15:15, maybe even 15:10 in the right race.

She looks a whole lot right now like Molly Huddle did at her age.

Give her five years of steady strength-building, and slow incremental improvement, and she'll be sub-15, way sub-31, and steadily climbing into the top ranks of the all-time US lists.

And all you guys will STILL spend your days wanking in Mommy's basement.

I don't think it is really hate for JH, but more like backlash against the JH hype machine. She's probably not even to blame for most of that. However, she has received a disproportionate amount of hype over the years for being the next great one, despite that there were far more obvious candidates (e.g. Cain).

None of those are an NCAA championship. She won two indoor NCAA championships (both in the same year). She never won an NCAA xc or outdoor championship. She's a fine runner, but has had a remarkable ability to not live up to expectations, and down right stink it up.

Have to agree. Also, the Huddle comparison is absurd. JH ran/raced more miles by the time she was in 10th grade than Huddle had ran/raced when she graduated college. They are on completely different curves. 22 yo JH is equal to 32 MH.

This last post exemplifies the non-informed illegitimate on letsrun. Jordan has better times than Goucher and Flannagan at the same age. Go back and start reading. Maybe you can start with the first post, but I don't think you're memory can last that long.
