Takashima now to the front, Diriba, Doricah, Kuijken. Now Doricah going around her to the front. Maybe they're intentionally trading off laps?

Bunching up in the front pack, Takashima going back to the front. Seems to be somewhat erratic pacing with sometimes speeding up, sometimes slowing back down. The pack contains Pappas, Bates, Avery, Sisson, many others. Running 77s recently. Was that 4 miles at 20:30 or so? I think so. Maybe 20:25 to 20:30.

Takashima, Diriba, then a runner they're saying is Vastenburg (is she sponsored by Adidas? start list says Global Sport).

Bates, Pappas, and Costello falling off of the pack a bit. Avery and Sisson moving up the pack to be close to the lead.

I've had stanford on in the background as we work on our world relays recaps. Someone tell me they aren't comparing Kate Avery to Paula Radcliffe.

Please tell me that I'm drunk or dreaming or something.

Doricah has fallen well back, by Emma Bates who is starting to let Pappas go and falling into no-man's land. Leaders are still Takashima, Diriba, Vastenburg, Kuiken, Sisson, Avery, and about 7 more. 25:27 at 8k.

12 in the lead pack. Includes Infeld, a few more Japanese runners. Takashima still with the lead. 4 laps to go at 26:46.

Takashima, Diriba, Vastenburg, Kuijken, Sisson, Avery, Infeld is in there. Looks like a move by Vastenburg, or no, she just goes up on Takashima's shoulder. Now into the lead. Diriba right with her, Kuijken right behind her. No gaps. Sisson moving up along the pack to maintain contact. Avery still in it.

Still a pack of 10 or so. Coming up to 2 laps to go. Vastenburg, Diriba. 29:12 with 2 to go. Takashima back in the pack.

Sisson on the outside staying up there, Kuijken. Vastenburg looks pretty smooth leading, 500m to go, and of course Diriba.

Infeld still there, Kate Avery struggling to hang, Takashima there. Still Vastenburg, Diriba, Kuijken with 300 to go.

Vastenburg and Diriba down the back stretch, Kuijken there, Takashima there, Sisson there!

Diriba past Vastenburg with 200 to go, Kuijken goes with her.

Homestretch it's Diriba and Kuijken, Kuijken turns on the jets and pulls away from her! 31:31

What happened to Avery? She's not in the results but must have been in there. Probably a timing error, I would roughly guess 3145ish but don't know, maybe quicker.
