You mean there is zero chance she was unaware of or forgot about Fisher's recent 3000m race? I guess the idea of interpreting someone's statements charitably is a ship that sailed long ago.
Her job is to be prepared to comment on the races she's paid to color comment on. If she's unwilling to do her job, then no, no charity. Considering her past, I'm afraid I lean towards her lack of enthusiasm being intentional. Disappointing, to put it mildly, but not surprising, considering her previous behavior.

Look at that bottom list. Do you really think Fisher is better than any of those 7 guys on the whole? It's super competitive.
Good post overall, but Katir has never medaled in the 5 or 10...unless you are talking about the euros, but given that excludes the vast majority of the great distance runners it's not anywhere comparable to winning a WCs or OGs medal.

But he still hasn't medaled in the 5/10 in a world event. There are plenty of great runners at other distances, but that wasn't the purpose of the post. Also, that's definitely not Katir's mile time...you probably mean the 1500.
G Fisher isn't a consistent big kicker. He needs to be no worse than 1/2 a stride off the pace with 900m to go. G Fisher needs to lead with 650 meters to go. With guys drafting off him, he may finish 4th racing in the above manner. G Fisher is not peak Miruts Yifter. G Fisher is not a young E Kipchoge. G Fisher is not a young Bekele. G Fisher doesn't have the 400m speed those men had at peak 5000m fitness. How many Olympic gold medals would L Viren have if he raced (5 to 15)m off the pace with 500m to go?

Of all those you mention that Grant Fisher is not - they are mighty fine company to be associated with and compared to.
