What are you talking about? Yeah Purrier beat her today, but she outsprinted a 1:57 indoor 800m runner and a 3:56 1500m runner. She got 2nd last year in the diamond league final in the 1500m behind 3:51 runner Hassan. She's also 22.

Julian has also stated that he's working on KoKo speed and form which is already decent in my opinion. You can't have it all overnight and she still has a lot to learn as most 22 year old pro's do.

It looks like a prototype spike. Look closely at how thick the sole is; it clearly has foam in there and maybe a plate. The colorway is the same as the 2019 spike, which doesn’t make sense if they simply added a spike plate onto the 5280.

New spike prototypes based off the 5280 platform, but not them. There is no way she would be wearing 5280s on the track, they are straight garbage on Mondo. It looks like NB may have the best shot at catching Nike in great shoe war of 2020.

Wow!!! Biggest upset of the meet by far. I picked her in the top 4, and winning would have been amazing, but to run 4:16 to boot is insane!!! A young Uk (Scottish) girl does the same and it’s 3 pages of PED’a and asterisk due (maybe) prototype shoes.

I know this board is favoured for Americans but could the owners and the posters actually call out the amazing amount of hard work they put in and their results regardless of nationality

It’s an amazing group of Scottish mid distance ladies you have, you do find that with a great group they spur each other along and the performances just keep improving, though being south of the border in England, I’ll be cheering them along go team gb!

Agreed. Elle played basketball in high school, was not a 3 or 4 season runner and my understanding is was interested in playing basketball at UNH as well. Absolutely 100% drug-free, clean living and running in the beautiful hills of Vermont. She is a tremendously talented, hard working woman and has surrounded herself with great teammates and a smart coach who lives and breathes the sport. Congrats to all. Elle has just scratched the surface with this race. I love her interview and the statements about not going after a record or even knowing what the record was but rather wanting to be competitive and hang with the leaders. She went for the win, not the time and came up with a fantastic result.

Yeah she seems down to earth and very like able. Also, being a non Nike athlete means she is much more likely clean. She seems to be someone young runners can really look up to. Excited to see where she goes from here. Great run!

Considering the rampant doping in running, any huge performance improvement can, and should, raise some suspicion. But, LRCers prefer to turn a blind eye when it comes to American athletes.

Purrier isn’t in the RTP. Not saying that proves she’s dirty, but she isn’t subject to the strictest testing around.
