Anyone have any real news on how she's doing? She scratched from Pre and isn't running in Lausanne.
Her Instagram shows she's in St Moritz for high altitude training. A few days ago, she said, "Fingers crossed for health and good training."
PS FWIW, before Pre, someone here posted that she had a "slight foot injury" and was postponing her season until it got better. It was said to be "not too serious."
PPS And please, no comments about her weight. Those belong in the "Is Konstanze Klosterhalfen update?" thread

Now going to run 5k - no more 1500.

Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for.
TL;DNR:
Klosterhalfen had knee problems this spring. They got so bad that she had to take a break from training in May. In response, she's decided to focus on the 5000 instead of the 1500. She's recovered enough to resume training. She's in St Moritz, and will stay there until mid July. She hopes to run the 5000 at the European championships in Berlin in August. She's planning to go for the qualifying standard at the German Championship in Nuremburg in late July.
This is too bad. I hope things go well for her. -
This was actually far more serious than the foot injury I had read about on some German board. Either this had been wrong or the runner's knee problems followed afterwards. Even if not in the best shape, the entry standard (15:40) should not be a problem for her. But to figure in the EC she would have to be able to run sub 15 like last year. It remains to be seen if she is already fit enough for that.
The other German young talent, Alina Reh, had a stress fracture in April and also only got back on track a week ago. She ran 32:17 for the entry standard and will run the 10k at the EC.
Hassan was also injured until recently, so Muir should have little serious competition for the 1500 at the EC. -
Richtig so:
Ist Klosterhafen geupdatet?

Saw her at the track today. She looked good.

Klosterhalfen ran 15:20 for second in the 5000 at the Guldendensporenmeeting in Belgium on Saturday. This was her first race since Indoors in Birmingham. She finished 2 seconds back of Saltpeter, and 20 seconds under the qualifying standard for Europeans, which are in Berlin in August. It's well off her PB, (14:51) and a minute slower than Hassan's 5000 at Rabat on Friday (14:22).
