Jenny Simpson just ROBBED that win from Rowbury!!! (Will Salazar get her DQd?)

Shannon just did not have the room to go by on the inside or she would have won.

I don't see how Jenny did anything wrong.

I'm looking at the Replay. I think Rowbury just had a bad line. Jenny did reach a little with that arm, but Rowbury had a risky spot to try and pass. It is unfortunate, I think Rowbury could have had this one with better tactics.

Her tweet says that she should have won, not that she deserved to win or that she lost unfairly.

NOPe. rowbury rear ended Simpson. rowbury tried to pass Simpson from the inside. rowbury should be DQd, clearly. Typical sleazy NOPe tactics; probably caused by roid rage. When is the evil rathole of NOPe going to be exterminated?

why are NOP people crying. Rowbury fell after the line. the race was already over. I have no idea why she fell, looked like maybe during Simpson's dive maybe her arm hit rowbury, anyway, no reason for a DQ.

One thing's for sure: Simpson definitely *beat* Rowbury.

Neither woman did anything wrong. Jenny even moved out a little bit just before the line. Their feet never did hit each other, but their arms seemed to hit.

It seems like Shannon and Jenny are not on great terms. They also didn't shake hands after the race. Shannon has a right to be pissed. Watching that last 100m, there is no question who should have won that race. I'm not saying Jenny is a cheater but that was a little bit too much contact on her part. This is not a contact sport.

After the race BMart helps Shannon up, but does not go over to help Jenny up.

Simpson did nothing wrong. She was the one ahead and Rowbury ran right up into her space when she was in lane 1 the whole way. The latter took the chance to try to pass on the inside and knocked into Simpson, causing her to lose her balance and fall. No flop at all there. I do wonder why Rowbury fell. There's no reason to dq Rowbury because Simpson won, but Rowbury did, in my view, commit the only offense here. Simpson didn't throw her arm out, nor did she cut in. There's not a lot of space in lane 1 when the lead runner is not hard on the outside line. Rowbury should have gone to lane 2. But for the good of the sport, we really need to stop making a federal case out of every bit of contact.

Wrong. Look at the front video view of the finish. Simpson threw her arm out and impeded Rowbury, then fell. Rowbury did NOT run into Simpson at all. There was ample space in between them, other than Simpson successfully blocking Rowbury with her arm. Simpson should be DQ'd for throwing her arm out and impeding Rowbury, who was flying past up until Simpson stopped her with her arm.

Go to 5:50 in. Simpson is running with her normal stride. At 5:56, when Rowbury is about to pass her, Simpson's left arm goes much wider than her normal stride. Simpson's arm clearly causes the contact.

Not sure if it is a DQ worthy offense, but for those of you who are saying Rowbury caused the fall, you are flat out blind

Simpson clearly caused the contact. You can't cause contact from the front - yes - but you can from the side, which is where Jenny was in relation to Rowbury at 5:56 in the video. Her left arm goes out - why? To impede Rowbury.

Watch this video, both from the front and the side. From the front is shown that Simpson puts her arm out as soon as she sees Rowbury is beside her, and keeps her arm there for three strides. From the side is shown that Rowbury is flying past Simpson, but her forward motion is stopped immediately when she is impeded by Simpson. You can see the three jolts to Rowbury as Simpson impedes her with her arm. The third one caused Rowbury to fall down.

or...rowbury runs up on simpson in a space not quite big enough, they tap, knocking simpson off balance. Simpson throws out her arm to get her balance back, and they tangle arms and hit the deck.

seriously - it seems more likely to me that simpson's arm throw was just her trying to get her balance back after getting hit from behind
