No sympathy for Rowbury from me.
If you pass on the inside, this is what you should expect.
Either
1. get position before the final straightaway
2. move to the outside at the top of the final straight to give yourself room to kick it in.
Avoids these issues. Rowbury did neither and paid the price.

I think Jenny had in mind to grab Shannon's hand,cross over tied, so they could share 1st, but decided that she would also have to share the prize money, and just let go
Anyone trying to compare this to the USA 5000m WATCH THE REPLAY...Jenny started falling on purpose, out of nowhere because she knew Rowbury was about to pass her. There was no contact at USAs between Huddle and Rowbury. Jenny fell ON PURPOSE and took Shannon down with her. She was basically rewarded for diving across the finish and making clear and intentional contact along the way. smh..

No, she fell because she was diving for the line. Nice try buddy. This is opposed to the USA 5000m where Rowbury went from lane 2 to lane 1 to lane 2 to lane 3. That is clear intent if you want to see it.

It seems like Shannon and Jenny are not on great terms. They also didn't shake hands after the race. Shannon has a right to be pissed. Watching that last 100m, there is no question who should have won that race. I'm not saying Jenny is a cheater but that was a little bit too much contact on her part. This is not a contact sport.
Rowbury is going to regret, and eventually delete, that tweet. The heat of the moment inflamed her, but once she calms down she will realise she is not the rightful winner and will feel foolish for whining.

If you'd ever run all out on fumes all the way through the line before that wouldn't look peculiar to you. Clearly you don't ever experience that.
Rowbury didn't say anything scandalous or classless. She felt the win should have been given to her and she was expressing that to a fan. She will probably be judged more harshly than most athletes in this situation simply because of who her coach is.

Simpson clearly caused the contact. You can't cause contact from the front - yes - but you can from the side, which is where Jenny was in relation to Rowbury at 5:56 in the video. Her left arm goes out - why? To impede Rowbury.
Simpson should be DQ'd, for impeding the others and bad sportsmanship.

W's 1500 is going to be out of this world next year. Simpson in prime form, Hassan will be better. Hopefully Genze will go back to 1500 where she belongs. Aregawi and Obiri will hopefully stay healthy. Both got banged up this year but were on the cusp of greatness prior to that. Don't forget Obiri's Doha 3, which is the legit outdoor WR.
Tons of subplots. Pesky Americans like Rowbury, Martinez. All the youngsters will be further along.
It's gonna be a real marquee event.
