wtf, kipsang steps out at 30k??

Kipsang is out. The announcers finally figured it out.

You could see Kipsang was cracking bad when he botched the right turn. He lost focus and pulled the plug.

I obviously can't tell from reading this thread. WHo dropped out?

Kipsang grabbed his drink, took a sip, and as he did a bit of a gap developed to Adola and Kipchoge. Then he throws off the bottle, and as he crosses 30k he just steps off to the side and quits. Wow.

Can Kipchoge gut this thing out for the WR? I doubt it.

Adola can't relax anymore. Hand motion still beautiful, but facial muscles keep twitching.

30k in 1:27:24!! Last 5k was 14:34 which is exactly what they need!!!! That's 2:02:56 pace!!

Kipketer - pacer stops!! And so does Kipsang!!! Kipsang drops immediatlye. It's now Kipchoge vs. Adola!!!!

So 5k segments are 14:28, 14:36 (29:04), 14:40 (43:44), 14:34 (58:18), 14:32 (72:50)

I wonder if Kipsang had a contractual thing to hit 30k with teh leaders or something. As he was drinking his bottle, hit 30k and just stopped running.
