What a ridiculous statement by Hunter! At 3:57 as a high schooler, he is a pure miler. That he doesn't have 1:46 speed, okay, that might be a problem in getting to 3:53, but maybe not if he has some strength and runs 1:48-1:49, but to wuss out an not go for 3:53 when he thinks he can do 3:55, well that is just quitter talk and weak, weak, weak, weak. Loan me his legs and I'll run it for him. If I was that close to 3:53, I would catapult myself across the finish line if I had to but I would try for gosh darned freakin' sake.

As for being a team player. When you have his talent, you run for greatness not for ridiculous team competitions no one will ever remember. People remember Webb's 3:53 not his relay runs.

Sometimes I think I'm the only here who thinks.

To run 3:53, you need to be able to run 2x1:56.5 on 0 jog rest. You don't need to be able to run 1:46-47. Having run 3:57.81 indoors sick, Hunter does not need to be an entirely different type of runner to run four seconds faster in the mile outdoors.

This kid is on the juice. His jaw is quite deformed by the use of roids and other goodies.

And racing with "The Pro's" is not? I'd say German's workouts were not even as intense as Drew's are now.
