Mo will be very competitive but since he is still focusing on 5/10 if it's a hard pace he will have nothing left to close. Rupp might run because he has much more strength then he has speed

Mo can't win with Letsrun goofs ..If he doesn't run he is ducking the competition ,if he runs its only because of the money if he loses then he must not have doped on that day .if he wins then he must have been on EPO..
I agree with u here

Oh. And all the talk of his 5/10 potential by tarded fanboys despite never having the balls to time trial. He's run what? 12:53/26:46? But suuuuurely he's basically Daniel Komen x Kenenisa Bekele. That's why people rag on him. And the late bloomer/doping suspicion.
Renato is a "tarded fanboy"?

don't look at PB of this athletes like their "real" record. If Mo didn't run in Monaco, his PB could still be 3'33"98, and all this discussione couldn't happen.
Don't think the real value of Mo is 12'53". He ran already 12'57" in 2010, when we worked together for some month in Iten, in Zurich, and now is very much stronger, after going to Salazar. To think can run near 12'40" is something reasonable, such as the possibility of running under 26'30" in 10000m.
Just a shady Italian coach who has made more than a few tarded claims...
Until he proves otherwise Mo has slow PRs in his signature distances no matter who thinks he can run X and Y times.
Mo understands this and I would put my money on it that he goes for the pr's this year. Sub 12:50 and sub 26:40 will happen this year
100% Mo is def going for fast times this year , there is no doubt in my mind
He realizes that legacy wont be complete without fast times and the window of the opportunity is closing in with age
so let me get this straight...
Farah loses to Heath, now he's going to tackle the master in Kamworor, oh--and he's also going to go after a 3k indoor wr??
Okay, right, and this guy isn't doping...
Outstanding post. I'm sorry that it's not gotten more attention in this thread.
Heath is a beast in the X country Mo has not raced x country in more than 5 yrs .. and with respect to him tacking the world indoor record for 3k he is the best long distance runner in the world at the moment what so shocking about that ?

Agreed. He's got to break at least one outdoor or road world record to be in the conversation with Bekele, Geb, and El G as being the best of all time.
In my mind, Mo proved that he has the strength for this distance in Lisbon last year when he ran mid 59 and beat a strong field. Prior to that, sure, he'd beaten Kigen, but the latter seemed to be there just to pace Mo, slow down if Mo was being dropped, and then step aside, but the last time out after Lisbon, that was no longer the case. This should be a war. I hope the wind is not a factor because I'd like to see these guys go after that world record (58:23!) or at least sub 59. If he beats Kamworor at this distance, he will own him mentally. If not, so what, he might think, this is far beyond his ideal distance. Then we have got to see him go after times in a set up 3000m, 5000m, and 10000m.
In regards to him losing to Heath we have already gone over this like 10 times. He doesn't care about a race in January in muddy and cold conditions. Heath was putting all into this race where as mo was just seeing where his fitness was at before he went off to Ethiopia to train.
Farah might be facing his second loss of the year..
What Americans and Canadians (Yes I'm a Maple Licker) are running this? Any word of Diego will or Reid Coolsaet?

excited for this wrote:Right, we don't really know what he could run in a 5k or 10k. I think most of that problem comes from posters' speculation. It's not like his PRs are slow. But you're right, it would be nice to see him time-trial his main events.
But he never ducks competition. In fact, most of his best times have come racing people who are nearly as fast as he is. Both of those PRs came in highly competitive races.
I agree with you except that the 1500 is his best event, so he's "ducking" in the sense that he goes for the low(er) lying fruit in the 5/10 double instead of a 15/5 ala El Guerrouj. The fact that his PRs are slow (by GOAT standards) and refuses to time trial lends itself to Mo being a businessman first. Also fueling the internet reputation for ducking.
That said, I don't think he looks at start lists and then disappears or some shit like that. Who knows.
MO KNOWS

Farah racing this will lead to him losing in Rio!
A perfect excuse is now secured when Farah gets stomped in this half. Mobot Fanboys: It's a meaningless race. Gold medals are Mo' important.

Mo fanboys are out of control. The excuses for losing are already being posted.
OK, I will run this, as long as you pick me for the marathon too.
It's been almost three years since this epic race:
Kam will smoke a Brit. That's all.
