You can't hold it against Sisson that there are several women running 2:14 now and Gidey has run 62 in the half. No other American, past or present, could beat those women either.
It’s fair enough to have some suspicion but throwing around baseless accusations is BS… sorry, but based on the history of the sport and the extremely high level of performance of any of these athletes, everyone is either innocent until busted or they’re all presumably dirty. I don’t see how there is a middle ground.

same with Aaron Judge and the “real” home run record… people are trying to tell me that a guy performing at that level in a contract year is undoubtedly clean?
like I said, there are really 3 options If you want to follow any sport these days:
1. Be blissfully ignorant and assume everyone who doesn’t get popped is clean.
2. Presume they are mostly dirty, but be morally ambiguous and just enjoy the show.
3. presume they are dirty and be perpetually jaded and disgruntled as you complain about the good old days (which spoiled… didn’t really exist)

I'm making no assumptions of Kiera, but I can tell you that I know that Sisson is 100% clean as is Huddle. I personally know first-hand that Ray is absolutely committed to his athletes competing clean.
We can all celebrate this great achievement today knowing that there is nothing but hard work from Sisson and all that support her that produced it.
Ummmmmm NO. Who are you? How can you know for sure that anyone is clean? You have lost credibility when you lie. It makes me question everything you write.
She's barking on US distance GOAT. Definitely needs a more complete marathon career, but she's already finish top 10 in the world in the 10k three times ('17, '19, '21) which is nothing to slouch at. No 10k AR and medal or WMM win like Flanagan, but the 2 AR's are a huge plus, and she'll eventually crush her own half AR. I'm hoping the olympic marathon trials was more a fluke than her just being that bad at hills. I don't want to overhype too early, but she could become a legit podium contender across the board, the next hope.

No recency bias. I wasn't discounting Kastor, obviously I think her career was better, but more using Flanagan as a recent reference of which Sisson hasn't surpassed. Even then, Sisson is in and up against a much tougher era of women's distance running than Kastor. There's promise though.

It isn't necessarily the progression that invites speculation; it is the level that is reached. Women are increasingly running as fast as the best males of the past, on essentially the same training.
Secondly, there is no reason to believe distance running is any more immune from the use of peds than similar endurance sports like cycling.

Emily may be clean BUT you don’t know this. It is NOT her marathon progression that is suspicious. Her personal bests are like Kara Goucher’s except for the marathon.
